Thumbnails size

I have uploaded a Masonry gallery to my home page and increased the thumbnail size to 400px in the Album Templates > Image Renditions > Thumbnails, republished via Lightroom, and cleared the cache, however there's been no change to the thumbnail size.

Re: Thumbnails size

Check the Lightroom Publisher Settings. Make sure that the “Push metadata....” box is not checked.

Re: Thumbnails size

Are you changing the correct album template?
Have you tried clearing template cache as well as browser cache?

Re: Thumbnails size

the thumbnails being published are 400px wide (according to the image info). try changing the layout from 6 columns to 4 or even three

Re: Thumbnails size

retina thumbs are optional. The thumbnails will size to fit in the number of columns you've designated.

Re: Thumbnails size

no need to republish. The thumbnails have already been published at 400px. the only thing you need to do is change the number of columns in the thumbnail grid and save the settings.

Re: Thumbnails size

That worked... I made 1140 3 columns but that leaves the browser window quite small. Should I change all all the columns to 3 above 1140 up to 1920

Re: Thumbnails size

where did you make this change? Not the Page Template, correct?

Your album is still showing 6 columns. Did you change the Album Template?

Re: Thumbnails size

I change the Album Template at 1140 to 3. When I resize the browser window I get three columns at 400px thumbnails, If I widen the browser page then the columns go back to six with smaller thumbnails.  No changes to the Page Template

Re: Thumbnails size

Is there a way to keep the thumbnails at 400px irrespective of the size of the browser window?

Re: Thumbnails size

That’s why I’m seeing no change on my laptop.
At other screen sixes larger than 1140px, it’s still at 6 columns and smaller thumbs.
Be sure to change the other breakpoint Settings

Set the columns to a smaller number.
If you have 400px thumbnails at 6 columns, that means you need over 2400px of grid display space.
With your two column page layout you have a lot less space than that.
Even a three column layout means you need a little over 1200px.

One way to maximize thumb size and number of columns is to not use vertical navigation.

Even so, at 1140px page width, a three column thumbnail grid can’t display the thumbs at 400px. There simply isn’t enough room.
