Image Storage

Newbie here, I apologize for the intrusion.  Is there a file where images can stored that I might use in the copy sections of the site?  This is where I can upload images and use them for the site and not necessarily in an album.  Also, Is there a way to hide an album from the galleries page?

Re: Image Storage

just create a folder in the root of your site for the purpose and upload images there via ftp.
Or you can use the Backlight image uploader to upload images for that purpose.
(Hover over Designer, Templates: Upload Images)

I use that feature for favicons, apple-touch icons, mastheads, etc. but not for images used in pages. The reason is that the uploader strips out all metadata and changes filenames. I'd rather keep all that intact for images used inline on pages.

You can hide albums and album sets. If you're using Lightroom, edit the album and under the Features Tab, click the Hide from Album Set box.

If using the Backlight Publisher, then in Backlight click on Publisher. Then click on Albums (right side of page). Click on the name of the album. Click Edit Album, then Features. You'll find the hide from album set checkbox there.
