Reseting a Published client select album

My client has completed a selection for their client select album. What is the quickest way to republish a fresh album showing the photos they have already selected?

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

For the client not to get confused by selecting simular photos, I want to keep the photos that they selected in the previous client select album by marking them with a colour code. What is the quickest way to reset or republish the album?

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

I’m guessing you want them to be able to select more?
You can reopen the album to selections by going to the feedback in Backlight> Client Response > Feedback.
Find the client’s feedback and change the Status to open.

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

I am using Client Response. The clients has completed the selection and closed the link. When I go to the Feedback page to see which photos have been selected I see three different groups. 1st. Titled CONSOLIDATED IMAGES and shows All Images (259), 2nd. Selected Images (229) and the 3rd Unrated. Which is the group of photos which are the ones they selected?

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

Sorry it gives me these three groups: All Images, Selected Images and Unrated. Which is the group of photos they want to use?

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

A quick test shows that
All Images means all images in the gallery
Selected Images means images selected by the client
Rated (or unrated): if the clients rates images you'll get a list of those rated One Star, Two Star, etc. (regardless if these have been selected or not)

So it's possible to have a higher number of rated images than selected images if, for instance, your client rates an image but neglects to click the selection check box.

hope that makes sense.

If you have more question unrelated to the original topic could you start a new topic?

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

I am back with the problem of replenishing a client select gallery. My client closed the gallery album after making their selection. They would like to select more photos. I followed the procedure to reopen the gallery. When I check it and try to select an image it refuses to let me select an image and the banner shows saying the gallery is closed please consulte with the photographer! I tried closing and re-opening the gallery serval times, cleared the history of my web browser plus republished all the photos from Lightroom. The problem still persists.

What am I not doing correctly?

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

Are you trying to do this while logged into Backlight?
If so, try in another browser or first logging out of Backlight.

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

What I don't understand is why this client select gallery is not refreshing itself to allow further selection.

impossible to tell without seeing what's going on in the Backlight back end. Consider posting guest updater credentials.

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

I just logged in to the album link above. I selected and submitted three or four additional images. I got a message page thanking me for the feedback. There is also a notice next to the album that the feedback is now closed.

So you'll need to reopen the feedback again before sending it to your client.

if you want to keep feedback open in the future for all clients, you could change the Post Submission Actions in the Client Response Settings.

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

Apparently full admin access is needed to reset feedback. As guest updater I was unable to see the link to update feedback.

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

Chris, are you now able to reopen albums for feedback? If not, I suggest you email Ben, reference this thread, and include Backlight Admin credentials.

Re: Reseting a Published client select album

Hi Rod, no I am still no able to reopen or open new albums for feedback. What is Ben's email address so I can send him my Backlight Admin credentials and reference to this thread. When you say "reference this thread", do you mean the posts we have been sending about this issue?
