Getting the menu to show below the logo

So I'm making some good progress with my Backlight 2 install - now laying the site out and I want to get it roughly the same as my CE4 site.

I've found the navigation menu is right at the top with my logo in the masthead below it and I want it the other way round (noticed that Rod has done this with his site). I just can't work out how to switch the positions, if I set the primary masthead location as "pallet 1" the logo doesn't show at all.

Any quick pointers please? I may be missing something simple unless this is a php plugins thing that I need to do?

Re: Getting the menu to show below the logo

Try placing navigation in the masthead,
If that doesn’t do it, post a link to your site so we have a better idea what you’re doing

Re: Getting the menu to show below the logo

Hi Rod, thanks, I can't see an option to place navigation in the masthead so I might well be doing something daft here! Under Navigation/Location the only options are Header or Top Pallet? Neither of those pushes the logo above the navigation.

Backlight2 site is www.newsite.adecentexposure.co.uk and the active (CE4) site is www.adecentexposure.co.uk

Thanks for offering to take a look!

Re: Getting the menu to show below the logo

Just realised that it's actually worked on every page apart from /home and /galleries - /home is set to use the default template like the other pages so this must be something simple that I've missed somewhere.

Re: Getting the menu to show below the logo

Navigation in the header is what I meant.

You want the navigation below your logo like on your CE4 site?

By the way, there is no mobile navigation on your BL2 site. Be sure to assign Vertical Navigation to Pallet 1 so it will show up.

And which site of mine are you looking at? As much as I create test sites with the latest releases, my main site is still stuck on BL1. Another winter project for me.....

Re: Getting the menu to show below the logo

Thanks Rod, yes the same as the CE4 site. Confused as to why the home page is different to the others, does that need a different template applied?

I disabled the vertical navigation to just make sure I was looking at the right thing! I've been in the CE4 world for a bit too long I think so I'm stepping through everything carefully at the moment smile

I was looking at your site at http://www.barbeephoto.com/blog/backlight/

Re: Getting the menu to show below the logo

That's weird. I see you're using the same page template for all pages.
Have you tried clearing the template cache?

yep, my site that you've looked at is still rocking BL1. And in fact, the blog that you linked to is still using the CE4 theme (for specific reasons like the ability to use different page templates). one more thing for my winter list.
