API causing trouble/ Can't see the backlight 2 properly

Hi,

I followed the instructions to update to backlight 2. Everything went as described until at step 8, i don't see backlight 2 as in your video, but just simple text, i can't edit the api key but i have to it says.

Looks to me like you're either missing some files, or the files are not being connected to properly. During setup of the installer, did you copy both the .htaccess and index.php files over to your host?

Hi Matthew,

I made a big mess of my site, so i started all over again rebuilding the site, and now it is working properly. Allthough, i still have one problem: i purchased theater, but it is not visible in the backlight modules. How's that possible?

Did you use the same email address to purchase a Theater as you did Backlight 2?

Yes, i checked and i used indeed another email address. Is there a way to solve this? If needed i can provide my order ID.

Drop Matt an email asking him to put all your purchases under the one email account. He fixed this problem for me with one of my add-ons. You will then have to get the add-on via the shop again but using the email you have asked Matt to assign.
It all worked out for me.
You will have to email him though.
