Trouble with CRG

I have just "installed" a CRG for this site: pideja.ca/tnm.
I set the add-on section of the design template edit page but only a partial view and no functionality occurs.

What am I missing?

Re: Trouble with CRG

I poked around, and seems alright to me. If there's a problem, I'm missing it. Can you link to a specific page on which you're seeing a problem?

are you saying that there's parts missing from the template settings page in Backlight? If so, can you post a screen shot and/or provide guest update credentials?

Re: Trouble with CRG

For some reason, on CHROME it doesn't work, but on Firefox and Safari it does!

See here:
Chrome Chrome and Firefox-Safari Firefox-Safari

I did clear the cache on Backlight.

UPDATE: I had forgotten to clear the cache on Chrome!!!! Now, it's OK, of course.

Sorry for the bother.

Re: Trouble with CRG

Something else: I've got the pencil in the square icon access to the feedback panel. Great, save for the fact that whatever metadata token I use, it always returns the exposure date. That is in the Metadata 01 slot. And in the Metadata 02 slot, it will always return "no flash" (because there was no flash used). In the Metadata 03, it's capture time. I guess that these three are compulsory.
I tried to insert a capture time in Metadata 04, the filename in Metadata 05 and image creator in Metadata 06, but none of these show up!

Re: Trouble with CRG

Did you remember to republish the album after making those metadata changes?

Re: Trouble with CRG

Two more questions:
- Why do I receive two messages on my email when I only send one thru the web site? One is titled Merci pour vos commentaires. and the other [#000005 - Pierre Desjardins] Nouveaux commentaires ou sélections reçues! (The "sélections reçues" is really "sélections reçues")

- How do I use the rating system?

Re: Trouble with CRG

Are you sending a test message to yourself?

The rating system in the Client Feedback Form is for your clients to put their personal ratings on images. This is just more info from your client.

Re: Trouble with CRG

Yes, I am sending comments to myself. Does this mean that the client and I get a copy? I guess it does.

Since I am sending to myself, does that mean that the ratings are not available to me since I am also hosting the page?

And, about the metadata issue, I actually did republish and metadata 01, 02 and 03 work fine but 04, 05 and 06 do not show correct info.

Re: Trouble with CRG

I have now cleared all metadata and starting fresh.
I have the PHOTOGRAPHE in metadata 1 but it shows the date; in metadata 2 I have capture date and it's ok.
I cleared the browser (Firefox) cache to no avail.

For the metadata 1 slot, I've tried Artist, Creator and even Copyright but nothing shows up. I cleared the Backlight and browser caches. Checked that there is metadata in Lightroom.

Re: Trouble with CRG

Make sure you’ve assigned the correct Feedback Profile to the album

Re: Trouble with CRG

never mind, I was going by memory and thought those items were in the Feedback profile.

Have you tried clearing template cache?

Re: Trouble with CRG

I now have all 6 metadata slots active. Only three show up and of those only the Capture date is correct.

All caches have been refreshed.

Re: Trouble with CRG

Tokens need to be in curly braces: {Filename}
You have them in brackets: [Filename]

Re: Trouble with CRG

Thanks, Rod, the deed is done!

Republished in Publisher;
reduced metadata info to two items;
deleted the invalid token (I thought that it might pick up the French Lightroom headers).

Looks ok now.
