To make it simpler and quicker to add Images could we have a link under the Publisher tab that goes straight to the List Albums page please.
Also is it by design, as it may create complications later, that I can also use backlight directly to add images to a lightroom album.
Not sure i would want to and expected it to be disabled but tried it anyway. And even republishing did not remove it

Our Backlight menus link to functional pages and not data-driven pages. 'Galleries' is not functionality but a data entry in the database, similar to other top-level galleries you may have created.
The ability to add photos through Backlight into an album that originated from LR is a feature that provides flexibility to users. If it doesn't suit you, don't use it.
