Footer appears on the top of the page

Hi Backlighters,

I am experiencing some issues when editing. When I have auto-refresh I noticed that after a couple of saves my footer appears on the top of the page above the masthead and my social media icons appear to the left as I have set to the right.

Is this a known issue?

Regards,
Cris

Re: Footer appears on the top of the page

I can’t get to the page, there’s a secure connection failure warning. there may be an issue with your ssl certificate implementation.

But usually when something like this happens (footer or other area out of place) it’s due to some malformed html in the page. So check any html you’ve entered in the page. Look for things like divs that have not been closed properly.

Re: Footer appears on the top of the page

I got to my PC (on my ipad earlier) and was able to bypass security warnings. I can see no problem. The page you linked to, testimonials, is not there; I get a 404 error.
Other pages appear normal.

I can't look at the Backlight back end. I'd need a user name in addition to the password.

Re: Footer appears on the top of the page

Simply to reiterate Rod's observation above, elements appearing out of place on the page is most frequently due to syntax errors in user-provided content, such as an opened DIV element without a matching close in page copy, i.e. /DIV. Or a lingering closing /DIV tag, without an opening DIV tag, which can easily occur if you've deleted some content, and missed deleting the closing tag.
