Sort Albums by picture date creation in Backlight (Pangolin pages)

Hello,

I'm using Backlight to post my family picture during the year so that my remote friends can see it regularly.

Is there a way to sort the Albums in order of the creation date of the picture in the album? (in my setup, I have one eventually 2 dates per album and they never overlap)

Thanks

Vincent

You can select a sort order in the album's options. Either drag images into a custom order in Lightroom, or (probably better) name your files with dates in computer-chronological format, e.g. YYYY-MM-DD-keywords, and then order your albums by file name.

Re: Sort Albums by picture date creation in Backlight (Pangolin pages)

My images are appearing in order of the date created because I sort them that way in Lightroom. However, my questions was for the Album set page, where I have many albums, could they be sorted by the date of the pictures they contain?

Thanks

Albums within sets can be ordered by:
album-order-by.jpg

There is no sorting of albums in a set by the dates of the pictures they contain.
If your albums are created soon after the images were made, then use one of the Order by Creation Time options.

If that won't work for you, use the Order by Album Slug option and change your albums' slug names, preceding the existing slug name with either a number or a date:

01-slug-name-a
02-slub-name-g
etc

or by date:

180515-slug-name-a
180621-slug-name-q
etc.
