backlight publisher synchronization on few PCs

HI,

Is there any way to synchronize the backlight publisher settings on few PCs? I have my main PC with LR and installed publisher in office. From that PC I am setting all albums on my website. But is there any way to install LR and publisher on another PC and synchronize the settings of that publisher so on the other PC I will be able to see all the albums and settings that I set from the first PC?

In other words what to do to see my publisher album tree on diferent  PC than the upload was done. I found that I can install publisher on another PC  and add new albums, but what to do to see the already published albums and managed them from that second PC?

Re: backlight publisher synchronization on few PCs

Publisher instances, and the albums and sets they control, are catalog specific. So to do this, each installation of Lightroom on all PCs must be using the same catalog.

One way around this is to use the Lightroom Voyager plugin to transfer Publisher collections between catalogs.

Another thought: Can Lightroom use catalogs stored on the cloud so that all your pcs can reach it? Your images would need to be stored there too, or at least Smart Previews.

Re: backlight publisher synchronization on few PCs

I keep my entire Lightroom folder on Dropbox so I can keep the catalog and plugins, settings, etc. synchronized between my desktop and laptop. You just have to make sure not to use both at the same time and to allow time for all files to synchronize when you switch.

When I travel I store my current photographs on an external drive and can publish to Backlight from the laptop and then when I get home I use Lightroom to move the photos to my permanent storage which also preserves any edits I did on my laptop,
