Not receiving emails.

Hi Guys,

I'm not receiving emails from:

  • CRG

  • Contact Forms

  • Cart Orders

Not sure what is happening, sorry If there is another thread but couldn't find anything generic.

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Not receiving emails.

There's no contact form on your Contact page now, so can you please link us to a a page with a form that you know isn't working for you? This is just so that we can check to make sure the form is submitting properly. I expect that it will.

More than likely, the issue is either to do with your configuration, your host, or your receiving inbox.

Please check your configuration to ensure it aligns with our recommendations, here:
http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … mail_setup

Also, try using an @gmail.com address to receive email. Gmail addresses are pretty reliable with receiving, and if you get it at Gmail, but not elsewhere, then you know the problem is your inbox.

Re: Not receiving emails.

Thanks!

Changed to a gmail and contact form works perfectly.

I didn't have the form on my site as didn't want people submitting it and thinking it went through. Will contact my hosts and see if they have any intel. I'll be back with any information needed.

Re: Not receiving emails.

Contacted my hosts support, he's fixed the problem and working fine, its taking about 12 mins form contact form messages to come through... but its working.

I've asked him to explain what he did so I can give you some intel too.

Thanks Again!

Re: Not receiving emails.

Transit time will vary from service to service. I get things at Gmail almost instantly, but it might take longer to be delivered elsewhere. That's normal.

Re: Not receiving emails.

Quick answer as to what happened: My webspace thought it was responsible for handling email which is why it wasn't leaving the server. He changed the setting and now it forwards all evagoras.co.uk emails to the correct server.

No idea what that means, or what he did technically, but it works!

Re: Not receiving emails.

It essentially means they were holding your mail in a "P.O. Box" that you weren't checking, rather than forwarding it on to your home mailbox. In any case, glad to hear you're sorted.
