Up Directory in Menu Set

In CE4, I used a menu item dot-dot-slash (../) to go up one level, and it worked fine.  Now in Backlight, the same ../ always returns to the top (home) level, not up one level.  Tried several alternates, but didn't work.  How can I program my menu to provide up just one level?

Re: Up Directory in Menu Set

CE4 was based on folders and hierarchies, with files "physically" sitting in folders. Backlight is fundamentally different; pages, albums, etc. have no relative relation to each other. To wit, "../" doesn't work and isn't supposed to.  If you want visitors to be able to navigation one level up in an album hierarchy, that's what breadcrumbs are for.
