On the Album Info Section, there is a field for Album Thumbnail, that looks like a free text field.
How can I define an image to be used as the Album Thumbnail in this fied?
Is it defined at LR plugin or in the Back End ?

It needs to be a url to the thumbnail you want to represent the gallery in an Autoindex.

If using Publisher, you can choose the album thumbnail using the "Cover Image" drop down in The Create/Edit Album dialog.

When I paste the url for the CRG in facebook messenger, for example, no thumbnail is shown for the album....
Can you check the CRG code to make sure the thumbnail image is correctly defined?

Oh, you want an image for Facebook? I assumed it was for an autoindex since that is what the "album thumbnail" field is for, not for making images available for Facebook or other social media.
If I remember what Matt's said in the past, Facebook needs a page image (I'm not positive, you might try a forum search). Since I don't care that much about my gallery/album images on Facebook, I've not really paid much attention to it.
But make sure that in Site Info > Social Media Sharing that "Embed Open Graph Protocol for Facebook/Twitter" is checked.
I'm not sure if you'll also need to include an image in the page as well.

Activating the Social Media Sharing with the Open Graph Protocol did the trick. Now when I post the CRG url in facebook, it shows the fist image of the grid, not the Album Thumbnail, what is fine. I don´t have to do the work of defining the album thumbnail....
I just wanted to have an image when I post the CRG in messenger or someone shares it on facebook.
