Quality of thumbnails

1. What can I do that the thumbs are much more sharp? Thumbs for my homepage I have created new with my own settings and uploaded them via ftp. But whats about Backlight?

2. What means in Designer - Retina Thumbnails -? Is this the solution?

Re: Quality of thumbnails

Hi Rainer, retina thumbnails are double the resolution in each direction, but displayed as the usual size. This gives extra sharpness in displays that use four actual pixels to display one 'screen' pixel, such as modern iOS devices.

Which device are you using when seeing less-than-sharp thumbnails?

Re: Quality of thumbnails

Ipad 3, iPone 6s plus and Desktop Monitor. For me they are all unsharp.

I mean the thumbnails in Classic mode.

Re: Quality of thumbnails

Then give Retina Thumbnails a try.
You'll need to republish the albums. There's an option in Publisher setup to republish just thumbnails.
