Breakpoint query

Under Page Layout the minimum Breakpoint is currently set at 992px.  Is there a way of reducing this further? I would like to use the "desktop" setup rather than the mobile version for my iPad Air and also for a Dell Tablet. At the moment I can do this when they are held in landscape mode but not in the normal portrait mode.

Thanks for a great piece of software and for the excellent support and ideas.

Re: Breakpoint query

The only way I can think of is with custom css and writing a new media query.

The nav menu drop-downs aren't really touch-friendly on my iPad when I reduce the breakpoint to 992px.

Re: Breakpoint query

Custom CSS wouldn't reasonably allow you to change this. That value is used all over the damn place, and attempting to hack it would surely break something, someplace.

And I will not be reducing the breakpoint any further than 992. It's fully intentional that I'm forcing the page into mobile layouts on portrait-orientation iPads. In beta, the minimum was 1024 (to catch landscape-orientation as well), and I let Rod talk me down to 992. I'm still not sure that was entirely the right call; it's fine for some configurations, but it opens the possibility that certain configurations will land on tablets that really ought not to be there.

Re: Breakpoint query

Must have been someone else who exerted evil influence on you for that one yikes . I actually hadn't noticed that breakpoint feature until this post!
I'm keeping my breakpoint at 1024 because there's no :hover state on mobile devices so the sub-menus don't appear. Plus I Like the way the menu works on mobile devices.

Re: Breakpoint query

I am glad Ben has not lost his humor with all the lack of sleep he must have suffered from in the last couple of days - I'm sure we will need him in good shape the next weeks smile

Just recognised that Rod's number of posts have past 10.000 by now - great support and thanks for that!

I think that this number qualifies me (or requires me) to get a mental health evaluation.

Maybe Rod and Rob are the same person, and we've got a Tyler Durden situation going on here.

Re: Breakpoint query

Matt, you're talking about the Tyler Durden, who said:
Tomorrow will be the most beautiful day of Rod Barbee's life. His breakfast will taste better than any meal you and I have ever tasted?
