best way to update BL?

i saw the BL 1.0.1 update was released.  thanks.  i know that updating is supposed to be easier than CE4.
what is the best way of doing it?  dragging the BL folder over to the server would also replace my CSS and PHplugin.  \

I guess the two questions are how to non-destructively update
1. BL on the server
2. the TTG plug-in in lightroom

thanks

Update instructions are included in the changelog. It tells you exactly what needs copying, and what not to copy.

Re: best way to update BL?

Just be sure to follow the very first instructional warning:

IMPORTANT: Do NOT replace the entire backlight directory!  Doing so will remove ALL data and settings!

Re: best way to update BL?

Just follow the upgrade instructions. The full package is for new buyers of the product. You have to start somewhere.

Re: best way to update BL?

index.php is not included in the list of files to upload. So no need to upload it.
