damaged themes

Hello,

I have one quick question for today, and I'm sorry.

In the window Wordpress themes, I get a message saying: damaged theme, the following themes are installed but incomplete. The themes must have at least one style sheet and a model.

Is this normal, and does this a problem?

Thank you for your response.

Best regards.

Philippe

Re: damaged themes

That's not normal.
When you uploaded the theme did you upload the entire exported folder?
How did you upload? Using FTP or Lightroom's Upload feature?

is this a child theme by chance?

how did you name your theme? are there any spaces or non-standard characters in the name?

Re: damaged themes

Thank you, you are super fast!

I took the contents of the folder to export from Lightroom, and upload via FTP in a folder I named blog, and put at the root of my site.

It is not a kids theme!

I really download all that was inside the export folder.

Best regards.

Re: damaged themes

that's now how to install a theme in WordPress

All WordPress themes are installed in the wp-content/themes/ folder
In your case that would be the /blog/wp-content/themes/ folder

Upload the entire exported folder to the themes/ folder

It is not a kids theme!

I guess it's not a child theme then wink

Re: damaged themes

I'll check it all tonight, but I seem to have completed documentation.

Maybe the name of my theme understand space space?

I'll let you know.

Best regards.

smile

As long as you upload your them to your blog/wp-content/themes/ folder, you should be ok.
And yes, avoid spaces in the theme name when you export.

Re: damaged themes

You're right, we only have I put a space in the name of my theme, plus two capital.
So I correct the problem, and now everything is back in order.
Again thank you, and good afternoon.
Best regards.
