Advice and Recommendations Needed

I like what I see about TTG and especially AutoIndex is something I really want to incorporate into a website I am designing.

I am at the point of purchasing (some?) TTG modules, but I'm not sure what I need.

I am designing the website with Adobe Muse (for several reasons).

Within this (on one page) I will include a galleries section - probably in an iframe (or is there a better way to do it?)

I want the galleries to have multiple levels and easily update without having to redo the whole website - I believe AutoIndex will do this for me.

Now the question(s).

What modules do I need - AutoIndex, Galleries, Publisher?

Any other recommendation or warnings?

Any examples of websites that is doing what I plan to do (doesn't have to be developed with Muse, but not with Pages)?

Thanks

Auto Index, Gallery and Publisher are a good combination for what you want to accomplish.

Auto Index for the levels of organization, Gallery for displaying the actually galleries, and Publisher for managing the entire thing from Lightroom's library.

There is! Don't use iframes. Just link directly to the auto index.

Terry White uses Muse for parts of his site, and our galleries elsewhere.

Or check out my personal site, which uses our WordPress theme for everything except galleries; the galleries are setup exactly as described above.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Matthew!

I will try with the iframe first to ensure consistency throughout the website and see if it gives me any problems.

I think I understand the following: You would use Autoindex to set up the template (appearance) for your galleries and then use Publisher to update or modify your galleries on-line - or am I wrong?. How does Galleries fit into this picture (pun intended!).

Re: Advice and Recommendations Needed

use Autoindex for pages to access your galleries. Gallery for the the actual galleries. And Publisher to more easily create albums (galleries) and album sets (autoindexes for even deeper level of organization) from Lightroom's Library.

My site has several levels to it (perhaps too many wink ) On my Galleries page there are a few albums and a couple of album sets that lead to more albums or more sets. http://rodbarbee.com/galleries.php

You can accomplish the same using Autoindex and Gallery alone, but Publisher will make it easier and a lot more efficient.

there are plenty more examples in the showcase: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/demos/showcase/

Thanks Rod.

I've already looked at your site and like it a lot! It is one of the reasons I'm looking at TTG - to accomplish what you have!

Re: Advice and Recommendations Needed

My site is pretty typical of what you can do with ttg. I do have a number of css customizations but other than that, nothing special.

Perhaps I should have been more clear. DON'T USE IFRAMES. Our plugins are not designed to be used in iframes, and iframes actively interfere with the responsive design of the plugins. Mobile layout > embedded pages.

That's on top of all the usual reasons that iframes are horrible.
