Weirdness: Overlayed & Offset thumbnails

I was tweaking a test CE4 gallery: http://pfredd.com/ce4test/gallery/test_ … t-album-1/ today and managed to produce some strange output. The thumbnails are actually two copies of the same  photo, one offset to the right and down of the other.

It does not look like this in the Lightroom preview.

Any ideas on what's going on here?

Re: Weirdness: Overlayed & Offset thumbnails

did you happen to change the thumbnail dimensions during your tweaking? If so, make sure to republish all images (uncheck the Push metadata... option in Publisher setup)

Re: Weirdness: Overlayed & Offset thumbnails

As Rod suggests, you images are constrained at 168px, but your publisher setup is dialed in at 158px. So I'm guess you published an album with 168-pixel thumbnails, then updated your template to include the 5-pixel borders on the cells (which gives you 158-pixel thumbnails), but that you did not republish your images to account for the new image settings.

Re: Weirdness: Overlayed & Offset thumbnails

Republishing didn't fix it.

I even deleted and recreated the album: http://pfredd.com/ce4test/gallery/test_ … t-album-1/ but that didn't fix it either.

Re: Weirdness: Overlayed & Offset thumbnails

Matt,
I noticed that there's a difference in height between the thumbnail images. The image info for the one in the background (background-image for <div class="griditem landscape clearfix">) shows dimensions of 158px x 119px. The image info for the one in the foreground (<div class = "gridicon clearfix">) shows 158px x 119px (scaled to 158px x 118px)

the width and height in the css are 158px x 118px

In my test albums, the image info is the same for both (no scaling) and it matches the css.

Re: Weirdness: Overlayed & Offset thumbnails

That's just Lightroom rounding off from sub-pixels in resizing the image from it's native size.
