CE4 Gallery with CE3 Website

My website (www.photoputz.com) was created using all CE3 modules.  Can I incorporate the new CE4 galleries without changing over all the other modules to CE4?  Can I have a mixture of CE3 and CE4 galleries in the same website?  Will CE3 autoindex recognize new CE4 galleries.

Maybe I'm making this too difficult, but I'd rather step gingerly into CE4 rather than upending the entire website.

Thanks!

Re: CE4 Gallery with CE3 Website

it should work fine. The autoindexing is the same. Since an exported gallery is a stand-alone gallery, there's no real interaction between CE3 and CE4, so you can't break anything.
Give it a try and see what happens. just don't use the Shared Resources feature on CE4 Gallery. and you probably don't want to mix phplugins, if you're using them.
