Something went wrong after migration

I did everything I found and migrated my http://corvette-photography.com/TestBL2 site to the main site. http://lesmarmitonsnj.com. I guess I missed something.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

Did you change the site URL in Settings?
Did you move the index.php and .htaccess files?

Re: Something went wrong after migration

Did you install the latest version of the Publisher plugin for Lightroom prior to migration?

Re: Something went wrong after migration

I installed everything I got last Monday when I bought the bundle

I checked my downloads folder and it is there. I installed the plugin in LRCC, but not since I migrated the site. Could this be the problem?

Re: Something went wrong after migration

The Lightroom plug-in doesn’t come in the downloaded bundle (as far as I know). You download it from your Backlight Modules Page
http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … cc_classic

Re: Something went wrong after migration

Yes. I did that and I used it to create a few test sets and albums that worked fine. I deleted them from the test site before I migrated. Now in LR I get a Code 418 error when uploading an album.

Ben will need to take a look.
To save time, send him an email with a link to this topic along with Backlight Admin and FTP credentials.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

I reinstalled backlight and that seems to have solved the nav bar problem but LR still throws the 418 Code and will not upload a set or album. See the error message at Our Events>2017/2018 Events

Re: Something went wrong after migration

For some reason the database upgrade hadn't been performed.  I've upgraded it manually.  The next step to complete the upgrade is to log in as Backlight Admin and click on the link "Update Album Files" on the main page.
I can't perform that because I do not have admin access.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

I changed you to administrator and Updates Album files. The Events still have an error. None of the CE4 sets and albums are correct.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

Fixed.  You needed to assign new templates, since the CE4 designs don't exist in BL2.  Everything working?

Re: Something went wrong after migration

Looks very good. I will work on the templates tomorrow. I see many of the albums are missing. Will there be a way to get them? Can I expect to recover the captions?

Thank you Ben.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

You may need to republish metadata. First be sure that your templates includes the needed metadata tokens.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

1. There is no set for 2018/2019. It should contain 7 or 8 albums from September 2018 to April 2019.

2. There are two sets for 2015/2016 containing parts of the albums for that year. Part 1 is a jumble of albums from all over the place. I created menu slots for both parts.

3. Every photo in every album has a caption. I turned captions on in the template but they are not displaying.

How do I reorder the sets and albums according to date?

There is probably more to come but this should give you an idea about how this migration is mixed up.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

3. Republish the metadata. In Lightroom Publisher Settings, check “Push metadata without updating existing photos”
Mark photos for republishing and republish.

Re: Something went wrong after migration

1. Were all of these previously CE4 Publisher albums and sets?

Re: Something went wrong after migration

There is a setting for ordering in album sets under the Base Settings tab
Also in top level gallery setting in Backlight Publisher. Click on the name of the top level gallery and then on Edit Properties (or words to that effect)
