On my current CE4-site (that I want to more or less replicate) the sidebar is next to to the text (album sets). And the indexed albums are below that. http://pictures.theomolenaar.nl/destina … -of-china/
I have all the text in the publisher, I can replace copy or put the new copy above or under. Same with the separate sidebar.
In backlight there are pallets and they are strict columns. I have to base the album sets on a page and then the thumbnails of the albums are also in a column. That is not a usefull behaviour in my opinion...
Is there a way to avoid the full page colomn's ?

To emulate what your CE4 design looks like, you can put a responsive grid into Main Copy:

Did you change the album thumbnail sizes?
It looks like you're using the Justified layout?
You may need to change the thumbnail sizes in your album template and republish

Masonry did the same thing. Removing the pallets led to three columns. I had to republish to get the landscape thumbnails back.

I tried the responsive grid. It works. However the coloumns are not filled from publisher as before. In publisher there is tray one copy and tray 2 copy. The contents are not displayed.
I also cannot edit the individual pages that are in the album sets. Test level 1and test level 2 have the text from the template. They are not pages I can see or Edit in Backilight. And they also do not display the text from Publisher.

The TTG Responsive Grid is stand-alone, meaning you need to put any content in the html; Publisher has nothing to do with the Responsive Grid.

You can edit the text in the template. You can also add text in the album set or the album.
You can do this using Lightroom or in Backlight.
In Lightroom, edit the album set and go to the Page Content tab.
In Backlight, click on Publisher. Click on Albums. Click on the name of the album or album set you want to add text to.
Click on Edit Album Set, then Page Copy.

Ah they are in publsher. Ok I can edit them there. They have the content from the template. So if I change that it might disappear. Same with republishing. I'll try to put the responsive grid in Publisher....
With your Info I'll experiment a bit \. That wil get me somewhere

If you don't want the template content to appear you have two options:
delete the content in the template
Set the album or album set content to replace the existing (template) copy.
Putting the html for a responsive grid in the page copy in Publisher won't make it so that the pallet copy is placed in the responsive grid. It will still be placed in the pallets.
The Responsive Grid is just an optional way of displaying text in a page. You can have up to 12 columns of text with the existing css.
