All pages have the text from the homepage.

I started to bild a new site. Guess its going to take a while. I filled text in a number of pages (contact (contact form), over, but on all pages the text from 'home' appears.

It looks like all thise items are being linked to the Home page.

Re: All pages have the text from the homepage.

That is not the case. They are linked to the pages text, contact etc. If you hoover over the menu you can see that  in the bottom. If you click you can see the URL. For the contact page I added a contact form..

Re: All pages have the text from the homepage.

all Of those pages have a body tag class of “slug-home” but I don’t know why.

Are your .htaccess files where they’re supposed to be?

Ben will likely need to take a look. You can save time be sending him Backlight Admin credentials, FTP credentials
And a link to this topic.

Re: All pages have the text from the homepage.

Hi Theo, it looks like the URLs are not being mapped correctly.  All URLs are being picked up as the home page, even one's that should result in a 404 Not Found: http://www.theomolenaar.nl/broken/
I'll have a look via FTP to see what I can find.

I noticed that your host is running a 14 year old version of SunOS, and not Linux.  The software running on it looks to be up-to-date, so I'm not sure whether the OS and age of it is a factor.

Re: All pages have the text from the homepage.

I tried to find the pages, but they are not there as URL's. So it is the backlight database or whatever that makes the translation (I guess). But I culd not fin any of that.

The pages are all handled via the .htaccess file. I would suggest to copy the .htaccess file from the installer to the root of your site as you might have edited in the past (different thread).

Daniel

I did that already. I  edited it, but uploaded it again after trying stuff. However I now guess I must have inadvertedly downloaded a modified copy with filezilla. Just clicked on it.  Started over from the original zip file..

And it works ! Thanks.
