Alternative way to access dashboard?

Hi,

I had to reconfigure a hyper-v virtual machine running Ubuntu and hosting my Backlight 2 website. No change to directory structure or files but I can no longer load the website. Instead I get:

Warning: require_once(./../../backlight/framework/Framework.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/mydomain.com/public_html/galleries/default-album/lib.php on line 48

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required './../../backlight/framework/Framework.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /var/www/reynoldsweb.ca/public_html/galleries/default-album/lib.php on line 48

I understand from other posts that this can be fixed by updating the album files from the dashboard. I cannot access the dashboard.

Is there a backend or alternative approach to fix this?

Many thanks

John

Re: Alternative way to access dashboard?

What do you mean by not being able to access the dashboard?
Do you get the login screen at yoursite.com/backlight ? Or do you see the errors you posted of some other error?

Ben will likely need Backlight Admin and FTP credentials. You can email those to him

Re: Alternative way to access dashboard?

Thanks Rod, I get a message that says "not found". I wonder if there is an .htacces error in that it "mydomain.com/backlight" directs to

http://mydomain.com/backlight/backlight/installer/

It all worked fine before I had to do the repair. DIrectory structure and files were not changed.

Hi John,  can you post the URL where this error comes up?
By the look of it, one of the older Backlight 1 index.php files is still on your server.

Re: Alternative way to access dashboard?

Thanks Ben, here it is.
http://reynoldsweb.ca/galleries/default-album/

I worry that the original installation of Backlight 2 might have been flawed. It worked as it should but i worry about the directory structure.

/var/www/reynoldsweb.ca/public_html  This contains directories for Backlight and Blog and Galleries

The Backlight directory is Backlight 1 and under it is Backlight 2

Appreciate your advice.

Re: Alternative way to access dashboard?

try deleting that default-album. I believe it's initially created by Lightroom as part of the Publish service. So Backlight doesn't know it's there.

Delete it in Lightroom and create a new album. See if that works for you.

Re: Alternative way to access dashboard?

Thanks Rod,

I tried your suggestion to discover that I can no longer create a new album. LR API URL can no longer find publisher. Not sure how it worked to specifications a few weeks ago but after I "tweaked" the VM it no longer works. As I said in my earlier post I worry that the directory structure has been corrupted.

I think I might be best to do a fresh install but I am concerned about maintaining the albums that would take a long time to recreate. Any advice on how I might be able to do this?

Thanks

John

Re: Alternative way to access dashboard?

I don’t know if that’s possible. Your best option is having Ben look into it. He may find files uploaded to the wrong spot or old files that shouldn’t be there

Re: Alternative way to access dashboard?

Please provide me with FTP access and a Backlight admin login via email so that I can look into this.
