Starting from scratch, but...

Been seriously ill. Decided to upgrade to Backlight2 and to start from scratch, redo the whole website.

Keep getting an error when attempting to publish even a trial gallery, to wit:

'An internal error has occurred: TTGPublishServiceProvider.lua:668: attempt to index field 'renditions' (a nul value).

What have I done wrong, and how do I fix it?

Re: Starting from scratch, but...

Are you using Lightroom to publish? Have you installed the latest TTG Lightroom plugin?

you can download it from your Backlight Modules page. the  link is near the top.

Re: Starting from scratch, but...

Well I think I am. I did download the latest version and install it. Getting rid of the old one took some doing, as it was very persistent in Lightroom!

I tried re-installing it from the Backlight Modules menu, after I had downloaded and installed it. It becomes a little confusing keeping track of all the bits, which is why I decided to start from scratch in the first place. Maybe I'll do that again, zap the lot and re-install.

Re: Starting from scratch, but...

4.0.4 is the latest online Backlight Publisher module. That part of Publisher is installed with just a click from your Backlight Modules page.
The other (downloaded from the link at the top of the page) is the Lightroom plug-in. I don't think there's a visible version number for that.

Make sure you've installed the very latest version in Lightroom.

Re: Starting from scratch, but...

To see version number of publisher for lightroom, you need to open “Plug-in Manager…” In the File menu. Select "publisher by the turning gate". Current version is 4.0. (I was this version 3 days ago, should be the same)
You will also see if it is correctly installed and working.

Re: Starting from scratch, but...

Re-installing the newest version of the Publisher plug-in seems to have done the trick

Another error did show up during upload of the galleries, on about five occasions, something to do with calling URLs or the like, but clearing the message seemed to allow the process to continue, and the galleries are all there and functioning. I didn't bother writing down the error, but I will report it next time it happens.

Thanks for your help. You guys are the best!

PS - scan was a doddle, just waiting for the next move from the docs...

Donald.
