Documentation on multi-language support

I would like to implement a second language. I only found the documentation: Multi-language Support in Backlight 2. But, sorry, that still leaves me clueless. Is there any other description how to do this? For example, how do I add EN or DE on top of my page to choose the language?

Thanks for help!

Re: Documentation on multi-language support

In the Backlight menu, go to Settings > Languages and create another language. After a new language is created and saved, click on Manage Language for that language and fill out all the boxes to provide translations. On that page you can see all the areas that will change once a visitor chooses a different language.

As long as you have more than one language enabled, a globe icon will appear on your site in the top-pallet area that will allow your visitor to choose the language.

Once you add and enable a second language in backlight > admin > list_languages, the language selector automatically appears.

Re: Documentation on multi-language support

Thanks for your answers, but after I did the steps you mentioned, I still do not see a globe Icon. Does it only appear with a specific size of the page setup or is it somehow obscured?
Best regards

Re: Documentation on multi-language support

This is a feature of Backlight 2 so you need to be using the latest templates (Pangolin templates). You're site is still using the old Okapi templates. You need to create and apply Pangolin page templates, album templates, and album set templates for this feature to work.

Re: Documentation on multi-language support

That sounds like work. Do I have to redesign all my templates?
