When my customers buy the photos and check the required Retail licence checkbox, where do I attach the link to my Retail licence pdf so the client will receive it in the emailed invoice receipt?

that is not a feature of the cart.
Under Cart > Settings > Checkboxes you can set up checkboxes that indicate your customer has read the licensing document and you can include a link in the checkbox text that will open a window with the licensing language.
But attaching that to the email is not a feature.
