Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Gettiing there with http://Galleries.PhotoLens.co.uk.

When working on the test site I can [still] upload an image for the masthead and can [still] add new menu sets.

Everything [apart from the galleries folder] has been put into the main site [again]. I find that on the main site I cannot upload new images [I did manage to delete one] nor can I add menue sets.

I've checked and the correct template is applied to all pages. I've also done and checked everything else I've found on the forum.

So yet again I am asking for your help, please.

Guest - guest; P/w 1TTGguest.

And what is the 'identifier' when creating a new page, please?

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

I tried to look at your backlight back end but the credential didn't work

the identifier is an optional identifying word or words you can add to page, page template, album template, and album set templates. It will be added as class to the <body> tag on the page, making that page or template targetable with custom css. This way you can write css for specific templates or a specific page.
In addition, each individual page, album, or album set gets a slug identifier.
You can see these by looking at the page source in a browser. Look for the body tag.

the title of the post asks about album sets, but the body asks about menu sets.

For whichever it is, what have you tried so far?

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Title mshould have been 'menue sets'.

What have I tried?  Nothing much really. There doesn't seem to be a forum post with the same challenge!

Backlight > Designer > Templates > Upload Images > Upload New Image > 'Click To Upload' does not work. Yet it still does on the trial site.

Backlight > Designer > Menu Sets > Default > Desing - I cannot add anything.

A 3rd challenge has reared its ugly head. Home > Photo_Library > Transport > Vehicles  - says it is password protected. I've deleted the album set and relpublished it. There is no password set in LR's 'Album Set > Features'. In fact, after a re-publish now saying "Something went wrong - The album set with id 86980 could not be found in GalleryDelegate.php on line 254".

Don't want to put too much of a downer onthings because everthing  else at this stage works Perfectly.

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Unfortunately, I can't see anything obviously wrong, but I can see what you mean with the menu sets and image uploader.

At this point, I suggest sending Ben an email, referencing this thread. Include Backlight Admin credentials and FTP credentials (in case he need to take a look at files on the server.)

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Hi Dave,  I've had a look on your server.  What I've found is that there is at least one file under backlight that seems to be incomplete:
http://galleries.photolens.co.uk/backli … s/admin.js

This could break a variety of functionality.  Can you try uploading that file again, and see whether that fixes it?

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Brilliant. Thanks Ben [& Rod for the direction to take].

Small point, and of no importance, when at Backlight > Designer > Localization, when accessing the left hand menu bar it moves to the centre of the screen and is greyed out, whilst the left hand most column is white and blank.

Please, this is not urgent so put it on the back burner for when you are not busy [!!!].

Once again, Thank You.

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Dave,

are you talking about when the page is at mobile sizes and you click on the menu icon?

I'm seeing the same thing.

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Update:

Galleries.PhotoLens.co.uk is up and running and working just fine [at least it appears to be!].

So I'm now re-writing my main site, www.PhotoLens.co.uk. I'm testing via photographer.photolens.co.uk as before.

Pages added successfully.

But I'm now faced with the same challenge that I had previously - ie I cannot add pages to the Menu Set. I sorted it last time but I cannot remember what I did.

I've followed ALL the above advice but to no avail. The design page is totally unresponsive.

I can access the pages I've created, eg photographer.photolens.co.uk/Links/

So, once again I'm asking for help, please.

[In answer to Rod's last question, yes.]

If I manage to sort it I'll post immediately.

[Ignore the missing pictures, etc, the pages are unfinished.]

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Addendum!!

I haven't altered http://Galleries.PhotoLens.co.uk in any way but the site is now down!

"Something went wrong

SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 11 database disk image is malformed in SQLiteHandler.php on line 19"

API key "Internal error: JSON.lua197: can't parse JSON at char1 of:SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 11 databaseimage is malformed......"

So, uploaded backlight from my PC to server again and get same message.

Re-installed TTG-Publisher.lrplugin. No change. "Plug-in is enabled, but has encountered some problems." In Plug-In Author Tools "This plug-in's post-processing task did not finish successfully.", "Unable to perform action: getSetupForTemplate", and "Message: The album could not be found for id 62963. Please edit this album and try again."

Reloaded plug-in, "This plug-in is enabled" - still not working.

When leaving this process I'm told to "re-publish all".

Re-entered API password. Same error.

Replaced SQLiteHandler.php in backlight>framework>dao with original download. Same error.

Re: Cannot upload image nor add album sets

Just found out that my server's lines are down!

Please don't reply to the post immediately above until they are up and running again when I will post the current situation. The Menu Set challenge still remains!
