CE4 to BACKLIGHT

I have a site built in CE4: lucnadeau.ca Lately I have been busy building an upgrade to this site via Backlight : pideja.ca/luc To date it still is in development, with only the French side being worked on.

The CE4 site seems broken: whenever I want to check authenticity, upload images or, dare I try it, transferring the galleries to the Backlight site, I get an error message:
"Unable to perform action: checkAuth Message: The page sent an action which was not available."
Checked the Publisher plugins and the CE4 plugin is disabled. Does the fact that the plugin is disabled have a bearing on the way the CE4 site is managed by Publisher? I thought that when the Backlight plugins where installed they updated every preceding plugin.

Anyway, in the plugin manager in LR in the CE4 Publisher, there is a button to reload the plugin. Should I do this? Will it mess up everything built with the Backlight plugin?

As it is, I cannot do anything with the site built in CE4 because of this issue. Can anything be done?

Re: CE4 to BACKLIGHT

you can only transfer existing CE4 galleries to Backlight control IF ttg-be and backlight/ are at the same server level:
http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … _backlight

The Backlight version of Publisher should just take over the old CE4 version and continue to manage your albums as the CE4 version did.
Double check that you've got the API URL correct for the English and French Publisher instances.

Re: CE4 to BACKLIGHT

Does this mean the ttg-be from the CE4 setup copied and pasted into the Backlight setup?

Re: CE4 to BACKLIGHT

no, this means that you upload backlight/ next to ttg-be on the server.
