Something went wrong Unexpected error: syntax error, unexpected '&'

I ditched CE4 on new server, new domain due to issues of single.php page not loading on web. Spent all day on phone and internet trying to solve problem with remote access to tech guy all to no avail.

So I decided to clear the whole site and start again.
Uploaded backlight folder, .htaccess file, galleries folder, index.php

Tried to sign into https://art4homes.co.uk/backlight  AND .....

Something went wrong

Unexpected error: syntax error, unexpected '&' in MenuHelper.php on line 255

Please report error at http://community.theturninggate.net

Re: Something went wrong Unexpected error: syntax error, unexpected '&'

are you using the latest version and Backlight + Pages (assume you're using Pages)?

(I don't see a & on line 255 of the current version's MenuHelper.php file.)
backlight/framework/helpers/MenuHelper.php

have you tried uploading the backlight/ folder again. Or maybe just that file?

I checked in dreamweaver and I couldn't see & either.
I will delete all files and try again.

Thanks. I have just downloaded that and uploaded it to server.  Fingers crossed I seem to be in.  Lets see if I can get this working. I do so hate change and was doing ok with CE4 on the old server. ?
