Slideshow in masthead

Hi, is it possible to place a slideshow in the masthead? Or maybe  in a future version of Backlight?

Re: Slideshow in masthead

At this point, just a background image in the masthead.
If you're adventurous, you could try replacing the masthead with your own code using phplugins.
A while back, Daniel Leu posted some slide show code you might be able to adapt

Re: Slideshow in masthead

It's not really our intended use for the masthead, and adding such features would bring us dangerously close to the line between the simplicity of use that we strive for, and being overly-complicated for the sake of a fringe feature. So no, not going to happen in a future version of Backlight. I think this one sits firmly in the realm of user customization via PHPlugins.

Re: Slideshow in masthead

It looks like they only have the slideshow on their home page. You can design this using the inline vegas slideshow. And for the main copy text, you would select "below the gallery" as the location.

Re: Slideshow in masthead

Found it and I will test it.

Rainer

Edit: How can I place the menu bar under the slideshow?
