Markup Editor - Mou alternative

Hi,

I have used the MOU markup editor for years but it now longer works on Mac Sierra, what does everyone else use?

Cheers,
Terry

Thanks Rod. I'll have a look at those, always good to get recommendation as Matt originally recommend Mou and it was fantastic.

I like writing in Byword quite a bit. Not free, but it is on 50% discount at the moment in the Mac App Store.

Thanks Matt, the best things are never free (although Mou was free, I still donated - fair is fair)

Go here, search the page for "Markdown", and you'll have a variety of options from which to choose. These are all Electron apps, so available for both Mac and Windows.

Electron looks like a cool project. Something to look at. Thank you for sharing, Matt.

I've been tinkering with it. It's pretty neat.

Thanks Matt,
there's a lot to test... any suggestions  or popular choices for something close to markdownpad2?

In a way.  It's very much bloatware though, as each application ships with a full copy of Chromium and NodeJS.  ~120MB for a basic application.  They're essentially wrapped web applications with some native hooks.

I'm not the least bit familiar with markdownpad2, so your guess is as good as mine. =P

Personally, I like Byword for Mac.

Amongst the Electron apps, I'd probably start by looking at Caret and Wallapatta.
