LR3 internal error has occurred: TTGPublishServiceProvider.lua:702:

AM using Lightroom 3 and just installed Backlight/Pages.

Good news!: the website works!

However within Lightroom 3, when I create my first album
Lightroom fails to upload the images &  throws the following error:

Cant Update this Collection
An internal error has occurred: TTGPublishServiceProvider.lua:702: attempt to concatenate local 'embeddedMetadataOption' (a nil value)

any thoughts on how to fix? Is lightroom 3 not working with Backlight?

thanks for your thoughts,
Sea

Lightroom 3? Wow!

Requirements

System
Mac or Windows PC, running Lightroom 3/4/5/6/CC2015.

According to the TTG website, it is still supported. But for many reasons, I would recommend to upgrade to a more recent version of Lr. Image processing features are so much more powerful!

Yup, Lightroom 3... it works for me....Looks like Lightroom 6 is $142......might be time to upgrade....
Backlight Designer works on my website..j. and new albums are created...just can't get photos to upload :{

PS Love your site--very clean and looks like you're using CE4 and Publisher

I think you will qualify for the upgrade fee which I believe is $79.

Ben will answer this question regarding the error.

Thank you. Yep, still on CE4 with Publisher until the Backlight Wp template comes. Once Wp is supported, I'll replace my CE4 installation with my Backlight test site.

Re: LR3 internal error has occurred: TTGPublishServiceProvider.lua:702:

Hi Sea, I've found that there was one setting referenced in the Publisher that did not exist prior to LR5.
I've made a slight change to Publisher to add a check for this setting before trying to use it, and emailed you the updated Publisher.
Can you give it a go and let me know how it goes?  Also, once tested, can you provide a link to an album that you have published from LR3?
I'd like to check how the metadata is applied (or not) across photos and thumbnails.
