Theatre Password protect

Can I password protect a theatre slideshow as i want to provide a slideshow for clients to view, or to show friends, but i don't want it to be public without there permission, I want to password protect it via publisher rather than as a backlight client

Re: Theatre Password protect

I doesn't appear the theater albums are password protection enabled yet. Keep in mind that Theater, as described here: http://theturninggate.net/product-colle … backlight/
is still in the "early access" stage, meaning not all features have been added.

Re: Theatre Password protect

I've just done some quick testing, and -- with a minor change in one of the module's files -- password protection works just fine for most presentation types. To enable, open this file:

/module-theater/TheaterDataModel.php

On line 82, change 'passwordEnabled' from 'no' to 'yes'.

In Backlight, click "Designer" in the menu, and on that page Clear Template Cache.

You can then edit your albums in the publisher, and password protection will be available. This will work for all presentation types, EXCEPT Vegas Slideshow's full-screen presentation (password protection does work for the inline Vegas Slideshow presentation). The reason for this is that the full-screen presentation uses Javascript to throw the images into the page background, outside the protected area of the page.

Re: Theatre Password protect

And I've now implemented local changes that should allow password protection to be used on the full-screen presentation in the next version release.

Re: Theatre Password protect

Thank you will try that. Just put together my first Wedding shoot Album set using Backlight so will see how the client likes it, especially as they live in Turkey so everything has to be communicate remotely. I do have a few more questions regarding using multiple albums in a managed album set, but need to be sure what I am asking so will raise another spot for that. In the mean time very pleased with the results.
