TTG-BE setup problem

Hi,
I only need to use TTG CRG (without the publisher) so I copied the ttg-be folder into the top-level of my website. It should be www.photofavor.my/ttg-be

I have also copied folder /crg into the /ttg-be folder.
After that, I tried logging into the TTG BE admin and this is what I get :

mkdir(): Permission denied|#0 [internal function]: ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'mkdir(): Permis...', '/home/cheritapi...', 144, Array) #1 /home/cheritapi/domains/photofavor.my/public_html/ttg-be/framework/helpers/GenericApplicationHelper.php(144): mkdir('../framework/.....') #2 /home/cheritapi/domains/photofavor.my/public_html/ttg-be/framework/helpers/AuthHelper.php(58): GenericApplicationHelper::makeDataDirectoryIfNeeded('../framework/.....') #3 /home/cheritapi/domains/photofavor.my/public_html/ttg-be/framework/init.php(108): AuthHelper::handleSession() #4 /home/cheritapi/domains/photofavor.my/public_html/ttg-be/admin/index.php(17): require_once('/home/cheritapi...') #5 {main}|URL: /ttg-be/admin/index.php

What is wrong with my setup?
Thanks

Re: TTG-BE setup problem

Hi, this is an issue that has cropped up before. I'm out at the moment and will advise in a few hours.
The issue is host-specific. Who are you hosting with?

Re: TTG-BE setup problem

Hi Aziel, I've had a chance to look at your site, and don't believe this is the issue I alluded to in my previous message.

It looks like you need to set the permissions on ttg-be/data/ to be writeable by the web server.  We have a page about this in the documentation:
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … irectories

Have a look into that, and if you encounter any issues please post back here.

Re: TTG-BE setup problem

Just updated to CRG CE4. Same as with Aziel above--only need CRG not publisher etc.  With CRG CE3, I could output fully functional CRG galleries directly to the host server which uses WebDAV.   Uploading ttg-be and /crg get the following:
Files with errors: 9
ttg-be:admin:application:skeleton:index.html
ttg-be:admin:application:views:contact:success.php
ttg-be:crg:application:skeleton:index.html
ttg-be:crg:application:views:contact:success.php
ttg-be:data:index.html

Also  admin/ .htaccess_disabled

Is there a way I can use CRG CE4 as I did with CE3 without admin files on the server?  If not, is the CRG CE3 gallery still secure or do you recommend decommissioning?  This has been an excellent tool and don't know where I could find a replacement application to do the job.  Thanks.

Re: TTG-BE setup problem

You need the backend CRG files. Does your host comply with the TTG php and sql requirements?

System Requirements

Hosting
Linux OS
Apache server
PHP 5.2.6 or newer; PHP 7 not yet supported
SQLite and PDO modules enabled

Ben will probably need a link to a gallery as well as admin access to ttg-be. He may also need ftp access. You can email him using the Email link beneath his name and picture in one of his above posts.

the Backlight version of Client Response is even better.... wink
