Shopping Cart

Will the shopping cart function be added to the Backlight galleries? If so, any rough idea when it might become available?

Re: Shopping Cart

Hi Ken,

We're hoping to have the cart ready by June at the latest. With luck, it will release in May.

Cheers,
Matt

Re: Shopping Cart

Hi Matthew,

I bought Backlight+Pages today.

I can't see any cart facilities.

Can you tell us when this might now happen??

Re: Shopping Cart

See the newsletter from the other day. Cart is planned for late June or early July.
It will likely be available as an add-on module, not built in to Backlight. So it won't just appear with a Backlight update.

Re: Shopping Cart

You seriously expect them to give away something that takes so much time, expertise, and effort in coding and testing??

Not to mention, something that will probably pay for itself with the first sale.

Of course not.... thats not what I said Rod!!

Everything comes at a cost of course, but for some of us, we are not all made of money......

I like the idea that this is now web based design, rather than design in Lightroom..... So I thank the developers for going forward with this.

Re: Shopping Cart

We're not looking to nickel-and-dime our users, but this thing we do has got to support us, else we'll have to take the time we spend on these projects and put it to work for The Man.

Re: Shopping Cart

I've always found the cost of Cart is a very small price to pay in order to allow me to sell my photos in the simplest, most friction-free way possible. Doesn't take many sales to cover that cost. Just sayin'.
