Updating Auto Index Template

Newbie question that I'm sure there's a simple answer for!

When publishing my CRG and new Gallery I'm ticking the 'Hide from Auto Index' box as I don't want them visible if someone enters ianrosephotography.com.au/galleries. Works as I want but the latin block is still being displayed. I've tried creating a new auto index in Lightrooms web module, export it and upload to ttg-be/templates/autoindex but it's still there.

What do I need to do to get rid of the latin block?

Thanks!

Ian

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

You can disable "the block" entirely in when creating the template, under the Color Palette control pane. Or you can switch it off using one of the replacement settings when publishing an album via CE4 Publisher.

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

Thanks Matt.

Yes, I did that but it doesn't seem to have picked up the new template?

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

Did you select the new template from the list in the Edit Album dialog? (or just replace the existing template folder; use the exact same folder name)

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

The auto index template I created only appears to be in the Edit Album Set dialog. The Edit Album dialog only has the CRG and Gallery templates I created.

Also, I'm assuming it is the auto index template that is being used on that page?

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

If you want the text block gone in your gallery, then you need to be working on the gallery template, or replacing the existing text block with nothing on a per-album basis via the Edit Album dialog for the album in question. The auto index template has nothing to do with the appearance of your galleries.

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

Thanks Matt - I'm not sure I'm explaining myself properly.

One of my galleries is at http://ianrosephotography.com.au/galler … anbrendan/ Another is at http://ianrosephotography.com.au/galleries/mandb/

What I'm trying to stop is someone entering http://ianrosephotography.com.au/galleries and seeing all of the galleries (galleries is my top level directory). To do this I am selecting 'Hide from auto index' when publishing a gallery. That works fine but the text block appears.

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

the Hide from Autoindex feature has nothing to do with text blocks. It simply hides a gallery or album from the parent index so the thumbnail/link does not appear in the index.

on which page are you not wanting a text block to appear?

Re: Updating Auto Index Template

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up deleteing my galleries directory, creating a new one and republishing my galleries. There may have been some items from an old installation there.

All is good now.
