Indented Text as Part of Block Copy?

Is it possible to indent part of the block copy using Markdown? Here is a rough example of what I would like to see in the Home page block:

This is the non-indented part of my block copy.

This is item one of an indented unordered list
This is item two of an indented unordered list
This is item three of an indented unordered list

Ideally, this last list item would be further indented...

I have tried a number of things to accomplish this and have not been able to. My guess is that I won't be able to do this using Markdown. If that is the case, what is the simplest way to accomplish this?

The easiest way is probably to use empty HTML entities:

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This text will be indented by five spaces.

I have a feeling I am just not getting something important when it comes to the markdown. Here is a link to a test site that I created to try the indenting: http://www.alanhuntphotographs.com/test_indent/

As you can see, it only appears as text. Also, I have tried to separate portions of text to different lines and it always seems to be double-spaced. Am I expecting too much of markdown's formatting capabilities? If so I can certainly try another approach.

Markdown doesn't do indenting. In fact, indenting is a bit of a bitch on the Web in general. You could try rapping your paragraph with style:

<p style="text-indent: 12px;">This paragraph will be indented.</p>

Thanks for the reply. I was afraid indenting might be a bit tough. I have been playing around, and using block quotes, have been able to indent, but I am not sure I like the result. I have uploded two examples - one using block quotes and one using an unordered list, but no indent. I will probably end up going with the list.
