Upgrade from 1 to 3 question

Upgrading from Backlight 1 to 3. I removed everything except backlight/custom and backlight/data from the server. Then I mistakenly added the files from the upgrade package to /public_html/backlight instead of /public_html. Can I move those files there and run Installer again?

Re: Upgrade from 1 to 3 question

There are two location you need to make sure the files go to.
Those in the unzipped backlight/ folder need to go in the site's backlight/ folder (except the data/ and custom/ folders)

See if this post helps to illustrate it better: https://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto … cklight-3/

Re: Upgrade from 1 to 3 question

the galleries folder does not belong in the backlight folder. and the backlight folder cannot be in a folder named backlight

Re: Upgrade from 1 to 3 question

The structure of BL2 and 3 is different than that of BL1, so probably?

Re: Upgrade from 1 to 3 question

I have Backlight 3 running. Thank you for the help. The Turning Gate's efforts to make to installs nearly painless are much appreciated. Great job, Big SMILE. I had a couple of errors during the install process. I'll start a fresh thread.
