Managed CRG gallery in Backlight 2

Hi
I was wondering if there is any documentation on how to set up a managed CRG gallery. We have been using unmanaged galleries through Lightroom publishing just fine, but now need to set up a managed gallery. I can't find any guidance how to set it up. Hopefully somebody can help.
Thanks

It’s basically the same. The difference is that you create a client (Backlight > Admin > Users > Clients)
After creating an album, assign that album to the client. (Backlight > Admin> Users > Clients)
In the album settings under Features, set Visibility to Private.

Hi Rod, so does the upload of the gallery also have to be done direct from a web browser to backlight as well or can the gallery be uploaded from lightroom then the rest from backlight ?

Re: Managed CRG gallery in Backlight 2

creating albums for Client Response is just like creating normal albums.
You can upload from Lightroom or Backlight.

If you create the album in Backlight, you won't be able to add or remove images from Lightroom.

If you create the album in Lightroom, you can add images to it from Backlight, but those images you upload via Backlight are not connected to Lightroom and cannot be managed from Lightroom.

The best practice is to manage albums either from Lightroom or Backlight, but not both.

We also have some documentation around managed albums, here:
http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … ged_albums

Worth reading if you haven't seen it.
