#2 General » CE3 Components and Lightroom Version 6: Any Compatibility Issues? » 2015-06-17 01:10:20

Hi all,

I tried looking for this in the community pages, but what I'm finding seems a little inconclusive and I want to be sure with something a little more definitive before I install the LR6 upgrade.

Are there any compatibility issues using CE3 plugins or modules in LR6?

On a related note, what are the file names/version update numbers  of the final versions of the CE3 components before CE4 was introduced. I want to make sure I have the most up-to-date versions.

Thank you Rod for your quick reply.

I'll have a look at that again and see if it approximates what I'm looking for.

Much appreciated.

I asked this question the other day on this forum and my question has disappeared, and so I'm asking again:

Is it possible (and am I missing something?) to cut out some of the middle steps of the navigational hierarchy to make these sites less like archives and more like portfolios, eg. from a text link in main nav menu or from the first thumb in an album straight to the first presentation image, by-passing the array of thumbs in the gallery (and in an ideal world proving the option for clients to then go to the thumb gallery if they wished? My concern is trying to get busy would-be clients sooner to the big images without obliging them to wade through multiple layers of thumbs. Is this at all possible with the current versions CE3/4? (I'm still CE3) If not, is this something that could be programmed into a next generation?
