Hello,
BL3 is RSS Feeds available.  There is no description in the documentation how this will be integrated on the pages and in the albums. I have activated the function in BL Settings. What else do I have to do.

#3 Backlight 2 Support » Message to me for a new received request from a client » 2020-02-18 05:27:10

Hello,

who can help me. Is there any way that I can get a message (email) when a request from a client is received on a Response Gallery.  I knew the function of CE4. Is it also possible with BL 2, which settings I have to make. The cotact form works. So the email client works fine.

Thanks LeMa

#4 Re: Backlight Support » Slow Backlight » 2019-04-17 01:22:48

I have ported the website ( www.worldtraces.de ) to another provider. Here it runs with very good performance. The problem would then be solved.  What's amazing for me is that the server requirements for BL2 are different than for CE4. I have been able to run them here without any major problems so far.

Again many thanks for the support.

Unfortunately I do not know any details. the feedback comes from the provider. there are entries in a logfile. I will transfer the page to another host (provider)

Hello Ben,

I still got a response from the provider. In the logfiles an error appears in the javascript in connection with the gallery.

Hello Ben,
I reactivated the page. I also reactivated the access. The access dates are still identical.
Yes, I also have the impression that the provider is not looking at it closely. I think it's not the pictures. It must have something to do with the database. The picture galleries are shown fast also the album sets. I think it is the page views and the generation of the page.

I would have now tried to reduce the pages so that the database is reduced. If this leads to an improvement then create several directories with BL until I can change the provider.

Before I transfer the site to another provider, I want to check everything, because this makes a lot of effort.

I would like to thank you for helping me here.

Hello Ben,

got the feedback from the provider that the server is OK. He recommended me to optimize the website. Are there any possibilities what I can do. Is it better to split the website into several directories and install BL 2 several times?

#11 Re: Backlight Support » Slow Backlight » 2019-04-11 04:48:54

Hello,

I have a similar problem with Blacklight 2, which takes me 30-50 seconds to build. The galleries and the slideshow are displayed very quickly.  I did an analysis with pingdom.com. The longest time takes the html element.

The link to the website is www.world-traces.com

The site works with php 5.6 with php 7.1 there is no change. It uses http.

The website is quite extensive. Are there limits?

Somebody help me out here.

Thank you

Hello,

I have the same problem here. Loading the pages takes a long time. I created the pages on a local test server. The runtime is acceptable. With the move to the web server (Strato) the loading time of the web pages has multiplied.

Is there a solution to this problem now? The last entry is from March 2018

Thank you very much.

I have previously included the custom css with another function (scroll-to-top function). This works.

I've added the code just as shown in these files. Eventeul I'm doing something else wrong.

.btn-scroll-to-top {

.btn-scroll-to-top:hover {

        border-color: red;
}

a.btn-scroll-to-top {
    z-index: 3;
}

.widget ul li {
    list-style-type: square;
    margin-left: 12px ;

I can not get any further here. I suspect it's a bug from BL2. It works in Main Copy but not in the Pallet 01 Copy and Pallet 02 Copy.

I thank you here for the help. Eventeull can Matthew fix the error.

I would like to use the list on other pages. So I need a code of all available.

#19 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Album set style "Descriptive" text an images different sizes » 2019-03-10 23:05:22

I know that with the text limit. However, the picture changes with the text being entered.

Example: Description Character Limit 140
Text entered 80 Character -> Image is larger
Text entered 130 Character -> Image is smaller

As I see it, the number of lines is responsible

With CE4 the image size could be defined. Ideal would be whom Rextfeld and image scalled depending on the size of the thumbnail grid.

Yes that would be very good. I am not so experienced here. But have already added code in the customer css.
Many Thanks

#21 Re: Backlight Support » how can I set the order of the albums in an albumset in BL2 » 2019-03-10 22:39:47

I numbered the album slug accordingly. But I suspect the BL 2 sorted by album title. It is not nice if I insert a numbering here. Then this would also be visible in the album set view

#22 Re: Backlight 2 Support » lists in the Pallet 01 Copy with Markdown does not work » 2019-03-10 22:32:01

No, that's not possible because I work on a local server.

There must be a difference between the main and the pallet 01

I want to use the album set style "Descriptive". I have the problem that the images are displayed in different sizes (the images all have the same aspect ratios). That probably depends on text. Depending on how many lines the text has. With CE4 there was a fixed assignment text and image size. Is there a solution for BL2 to set the size of the images and text field.

Thanks to all

For a Page Copy I want to create lists in the Pallet 01 Copy with Markdown. The code does not work in Pallet 01 Copy.

If I enter the identical code in Main Copy, the lists are generated with a list marker. I also used the code in CE4 used in Sidebar Copy.

I have used the following code:

<ul>
<li>Reiseübersicht</li>
<li>Reiseblog</li>
<li>Fotoprojekte</li>
</ul>

Thanks to all

how can I set the order of the albums in an albumset in BL2? For CE4 this was possible via the directory name.

Thank you, all!
