I have a customer who lost the mail with the download links to the photos she purchased. How do I generate a new mail?

I have implemented the fancy popoup box as described in http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … hp?id=7774 .

The text in the pop up window is not selectable and I wonder if it is possible to enable that.

Background: I use two popup windows; one for help text and one to display the keywords that are available when you do a search. The reason for the latter is that there are a few geographical names involved and the spelling of some of them are not entirely uniform... Ir would be very useful if you could copy the keyword and then paste it in the search field.

I am setting up a second Backlight site. Halfway through I realized I should have copied the old site and just removed the galleries. I just hit the localization issue...

Is there a way to copy the localization file(s) from my first site in order to get all the translations and preffered naming I once set up? It would save me a lot of time.

Thank you Rod. Now I know and  I have a new plan how ty manage my discounts

How does the coupons work? I assumed (assumptions = the mother of all failures) that a coupon could only be used once per computer and thus gave the same coupon code to several customers but it doesn't work.

I now guess that it is actually a one time code and if I want to give the same discount to several customers they have to get an individual code.

I could not find any information in the documentation. How does it work?

The problem I want to solve is that I shoot groups (dog training classes) and I offer them three free photos (Facebook-resolution) and they have to pay for the rest. I tried the package solution to give them the three FB-pics but I cannot (don't know how to) limit that package deal to a one time opportunity.

#7 Re: Backlight Support » How to use Packages » 2018-01-05 23:56:17

Thanx Rod,

Now I understand and I have tried it out and also found the 'Enable Offline Digital Purchases' setting in order to handle digital downloads. It works quite well but it didn't solve my issue (close but no cigar).

I have a service where I shoot for 30 minutes which results in 3 high Q digital downloads (HQD) and more pictures are sold with standard price. My initial idea was to provide the customer with a Coupon equal to the value of the three HQD's.

I then thought I could solve this by using a package instead and I created a package including the 3 HQD free of charge. I then realized that there is no limit as to how many times you can use the package. Bumer

What do you propose? Should I stick to the Coupon?

#9 Re: Backlight Support » Localization in Orders » 2017-12-21 17:50:22

Thank you. Worked like a charm. I also managed to reorder the contents in order to solve the print out "issue" I posted an enhancement request for.

I need to make print outs for my book keeping. Viewing an order with 14 items the whole order requires five pages to print. I would like to be able to print only the 'Order status', Customer Details' and 'Order Summary'.

Maybe something for a future release.

I went in to view an order to print it out for the accountant. The sub headers are all translated by the Cart Localization but the headers are still in English. I.e: 'Order status', 'Customer Details', Order Details', 'Order Summary and also the page header 'View Order - [order#]'.

Is there a quick fix (php file somewhere to edit) and a long term where these are included in the Cart Localization.

Ah! Sorry. My name is Peter Ulvatun. Peter is fine smile

This is for the contents of the cart itself. I logged the issue regarding the purchase option order in another post.

The sort order of the items in a cart seems to be to have the 'latest changed' at the bottom . This is somewhat confusing when you change an item and the cart gets a new order.

The preferred order (as I see it) would be to order them alphabetically. A second best suggestion would be 'latest ADDED' at the bottom, i.e. as it is today but the order is kept even after an item has been updated.

Absolutely smile

It used to be my proffesion. I.e. requirement management and acceptance testing. Not much of a programmer though wink

One of my testers, I used an ex-collegue, found yet another cart issue. Should I send it to you here? in a new post? or in a mail?

#17 Re: Backlight Support » Button width in cart » 2017-09-27 19:12:57

I changed the cart.css with your content Ben and it worked. Will this be the new default setting?

How come nobody seen this problem before? Is everyone else using the Paypal icon?

#18 Re: Backlight Support » Button width in cart » 2017-09-27 03:10:53

Thank you for your time and testing. I am using Chrome on my old Samsung S3. I tried to clear the cache to no avail. Called one of my three testers and everything was ok on his phone so I will drop this.

Thank you for your excellent support and for opening up the world of css

#19 Re: Backlight Support » Button width in cart » 2017-09-27 01:31:51

Hmmm.

I put in your suggestion in the custom stylesheet but it won't play. If I toggle off the custom css it looks great in my phone with the buttons on top of each other (I assume that float: none; is accomplishing this). Toggle on - awful.

I then followed your reference (thanx for the explanation) and found the default css. The only difference I noticed was:
#cart-buttons form {
    margin: 0;
}
I looked in https://www.w3schools.com but could not undestand what it does. I simply tried to add it but to no avail. I thus turn back to you once more.

Hi again Rod,
A little further testing shows that these buttons didn't turn out so well when using a mobile phone. I guess that there are separate styles for different platforms. Could you please nudge me in the direction on where I can read up on the topic.

The manual chapter on css states "..., it's good to begin by examining the page template's generated stylesheet. " A sound advice which might very well answer my question above. However, I don't know where to find them...?

I did some testing based on this post and https://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_buttons.asp It looks great on my desktop but not so much on my mobile device....

Implemented. That part was easy enough. Thanx!

#22 Re: Backlight Support » Button width in cart » 2017-09-26 01:50:59

Ayayay. I was hoping to avoid this. I will give the custom css a shot. It is the final piece before launching the site to some initial customers and I am motivated.

Thanx Rod!

#23 Re: Backlight Support » Date format on download page » 2017-09-25 19:59:04

Gotcha! Then it is still good that I changed it smile

#24 Re: Backlight Support » Date format on download page » 2017-09-25 17:28:36

Follow up question; if chagning Backlight Settings, Advanced Settings, 'Timezone' doesn't change this, what does it do? The help text states: "The timezone used for formatting days, such as download expiry"
