#1 Re: Backlight Support » Catastrophic Blacklight Failure » 2019-08-11 00:08:05

Hi Daniel
I re-downloaded backlight, cart & theatre as they where all slightly older versions.
(I never got the emails for the new versions)
Got a email from Bluehost last night saying they had completely revamped the Bluehost interface.
Everything is working great now.
Thanks

#2 Re: Backlight Support » Catastrophic Blacklight Failure » 2019-08-08 05:30:42

Hi Rod
I changed the php to version 7.0 in the MultiPHP Manager
Everything is now working fine on both sites!!

Many thanks for your quick response & help

#3 Re: Backlight Support » Catastrophic Blacklight Failure » 2019-08-08 03:39:59

When I login to Bluehost I can't find C-Panel > Programming > PHP config

I login get Home Page > Advanced
which looks like C-Panel but doesn't have Programming > PHP config

#4 Re: Backlight Support » Catastrophic Blacklight Failure » 2019-08-08 01:27:06

I haven't logged on to the C-Panel for a long time.
It has all changed, so I'm getting lost

In the MultiPHP Manager I found these settings

PHP 7.3 (ea-php73) is  the version set, with options to change to
PHP 7.2 (ea-php72)
PHP 7.1 (ea-php71)
PHP 7.0 (ea-php70)

I have no idea at all what version of php Backlight 1 runs on or what to change it to

#5 Re: Backlight Support » Catastrophic Blacklight Failure » 2019-08-08 00:36:52

Hi Rod

Deleted the cookie consent code.
Everything still doesn't work

Could this be a Bluehost issue where they have changed something that I'm not aware of?

Backlight Version: 1 123-release 4
Cart Version: 415
Host: Bluehost

I can only view my homepage & contact page: http://www.michaelregan.co.uk
Can't view any of my galleries.
Can't login to backlight admin.

Get this error message with admin login & galleries:
"Something went wrong
count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in SimpleHTMLTag.php on line 44"

In addition I get this error when clicking on any of my gallery hyperlinks from my homepage main body of text:
"The shopping Cart is currently unavailable
Please contact the site owner for further assistance"

I have deleted & re-uploaded the module-cart - no change

I have made no changes to my website since April of this year.

I also have a sub domain website http://www.wildiesgentledmustangsandbur … option.com
on the same server which has no shopping cart.
This works & then doesn't.
I can't login in to backlight admin on this sub domain either, I get the same error message
"Something went wrong
count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in SimpleHTMLTag.php on line 44"

#7 Re: Backlight Support » Make the footer text & the slideshow title/caption size bigger? » 2017-08-13 04:42:17

Hi Daniel

Well spotted!! Had the wrong file! Same name but with a 2 at the end. Hard to see longer file names in Filezilla!!

Thank you for your kind comments about my site, I'm really pleased with it.
Just putting the finishing touches to it. Pangolin is fantastic! Love it! Days just disappear....

I've taken everything out on the full screen slideshow as you suggested,
looks much cleaner.
I'll have to go carefully through the photographs again
as the masthead was hiding some pixelation in the the blue sky on some photos!

Thanks for your help

How do you make the footer text & the slideshow title/caption size bigger?
I would like to increase both to 15pt, but can't find where in backlight these font size settings are.

#10 Re: Backlight Support » Make Image Popup to Bigger Size in Pangolin 122 » 2017-07-22 23:54:48

Thanks for your info

In the end I have gone what's below, so that the small image on the product page, is hyperlinked direct to the large image in the gallery it is from

<a><a href="http://your url/galleries/gallery name/#gallery-32" (this is the large image id photo)>
<img  src=" http://your url/backlight/designer/?c=page&a=image&p1=44" width="230" class="alignleft"  style=" padding: 4px; margin-bottom: 2px;"></a>

I would like to have some images on a product page, popup to bigger size just by clicking on them.
I don't want a button or text.
You must have to hyperlink the small images to the larger images. What is way to go about this?

Thanks

I have put this code in my custom css file & it works great on gallery thumbnails, but not on
the gallery set masonary thumbnails. Have I missed something?

#15 Re: Backlight Support » Vegas Pangolin Theatre Border » 2017-07-19 04:05:02

Hi Rod

On a mobile phone & a desktop my 3 different size slideshows are not scaling down,
when reducing the browser to mobile phone size, with half the page off the screen

http://www.michaelregan.uk/greeting-car … d-samples/
http://www.michaelregan.uk/christmas-ca … s-samples/
http://www.michaelregan.uk/photographic-print-prices/

This my css code
.slug-greeting-card-slideshow-portrait #gallery.gallery.vegas-container  {
    height: 574px !important;
    width: 400px;
    margin: 0 auto;
border: 1px solid #d3d3d3;}

.slug-christmas-card-slideshow #gallery.gallery.vegas-container  {
    height: 502px !important;
    width: 698px;
margin: 0 auto;}
border: 1px solid #d3d3d3;}

.slug-photographic-print-slideshow #gallery.gallery.vegas-container  {
    height: 502px !important;
    width: 755px;
    margin: 0 auto;
border: 1px solid #d3d3d3;}

Any ideas what I could do?

Thanks Mike R

Hi Rod

Works absolutely perfectly! Amazing!

Thank you so much!!

#17 Re: Backlight Support » Vegas Pangolin Theatre Border » 2017-07-15 01:48:56

Hi Rod

Brilliant that code has worked!
But is now made a much larger slideshow on my home page, much too small!

Is there a way to target this piece of css code to specific pages,
so I can have different size slideshows on different pages, as per my backlight 111 site?

Thanks for your help!

#18 Re: Backlight Support » Vegas Pangolin Theatre Border » 2017-07-14 23:02:20

Charlie thanks, I already have Rod's code for the outer border already in my css.

Matt shame about the minimum width increase from okapi backlight 111, from 400px to 920px
Trying to upgrade existing backlight 111 site to pangolin 121

The only other thing I can think of, is to do the border & padding in photoshop & add it to the image.
Or not use the vegas slideshow.

I trying get a grey border, 8px of padding & drop shadow around the image inside the pangolin theatre frame, using custom css
my code is:

.vegas-slide img {border: 1px solid #d3d3d3;

box-shadow: 3px 3px 4px rgba(0,0,0,0.5);

padding: 8px;}

It doesn't work.

Pangolin test site: http://www.michaelregan.uk/pricing/

With pangolin vegas theatre the minimum width you can now set is 920px

Where as in the okapi vegas theatre, it went down to 400px where I could then put a border padding & drop shadow,
around the outside of the frame, as in my backlight 111 site.

Spent a couple of hours trying different code & I am stuck!

Any help much appreciated

I have a product page where I would like to have a small Pangolin Theatre Slideshow
at the top of the page, then my copy & some photographs, with a Pangolin Album at the bottom of the page.

I can't see a way to do this as a Pangolin page can either have one at the top or one at the bottom.

Pangolin 121 test site: http://www.michaelregan.uk/greeting-car … d-samples/

Any ideas?

#22 Re: Backlight Support » Black Border & Box Shadow Around Large Images Inside Pangolin Gallery » 2017-07-10 00:45:03

Thanks Rod

That's worked, I had tried almost the same code, but didn't use "slide" in .fancybox img

That is a excellent tip to look at the page's source code for the custom css code!

Many thanks for your help much appreciated!!

Trying to update my ccs code for thin black border & box shadow for the large image slideshow in the new fancybox pangolin gallery,
similar to Rod Barbee's pangolin test site http://pangolin.barbeephoto.com/galleri … #gallery-1
(Thank you Rod your ideas & photography are always a inspiration!)

I had something similar in my old backlight 111 site @ www.michaelregan.co.uk
My ccs code doesn't work in my new pangolin 121 site @ www.michaelregan.uk probably because the photoswipe gallery
has been replaced with the new fancybox gallery.

Below is my ccs file:

.the__copy{text-align:center;}

.copyright p{text-align:center;}

.widget img, .the__copy img{border:1px solid #e6e2e2;box-shadow:3px 3px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.4);}

.pswp_go{border:1px solid black;box-shadow:3px 3px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.4);}

.album-thumbnail img{border:1px solid black;box-sizing:border-box;box-shadow:3px 3px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.4);}

.pswp__caption__center{text-align:center;font-size:1.2em;}

.pswp__img{border:1px solid black;box-shadow:6px 6px 8px rgba(0,0,0,0.5);}

.gallery.vegas-container{box-shadow:4px 4px 8px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);}

.gallery figure, .albums figure a {
box-shadow: 3px 3px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.4);
}
.content { z-index: auto }

I think the 3 items with beginning with .pswp need to be deleted

Spent the last day & half trying to figure it out, with no luck, any help much appreciated!
