#1 Re: Backlight Support » Images don't refresh after editing in Lightroom » 2016-07-19 12:12:38

Thanks so much for your help Rod. Worked a treat. Push metadata..... was unchecked. Publish thumbnails....was checked. This must be the default setting because I've never touched these settings.

Hi, Does anyone know how to get the backlight images to refresh in a browser. For instance I edit an image in Lightroom and add it to a TTG Publisher album and upload it to backlight. I then view the album image in a browser and decide it needs a re-edit. So I accomplish this in Lightroom / republish it and view in brower after refreshing the page. For a split second after hitting the thumbnail the image has taken on the re-edit changes then reverts to the original. The only way I know how to fix this is to rename the image after re-edit then upload it.... a pain. I do not use sequential file names so what is going on .... does anyone know??

#3 Re: Backlight Support » Update to 1.03 still reads 1.02?? » 2016-07-14 05:38:32

Yes, I also use FileZilla and was having problems updating from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3. In FileZilla I'd been using 'Overwite' method of replacing the files. Did the whole job twice and still didn't work. Then I thought lets delete the 'Corrrect' files in FileZilla and replace each one individually. Well it worked immediately when I logged back into Backlight. Then it was a simple matter of 'clearing cache' and loading the new TTG Publisher plug-in Lightroom. But I learnt one thing in FileZilla. Overwrite does not mean Replace. I reckon it should... but it doesn't and suspect the same thing is happening with other FTP apps and hence causing all these update problems. Any everything is now working beautifully. Thank you TTG team:-)

Hi, Has anyone had this error appear through a Lightroom publish of 12 or more images 'Can't update this Collection' error uploading rendition.(Code:403) This has only just started appearing and the publish upload stops. I don't know whether the problem is Lightroom or Backlight. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Cliff

Hi. Does anyone know how to publish photos from another computer to an existing album within Backlight? I have tried it by making a publish folder with the same name as an existing album in Backlight on a 2nd computer and when the images are published then Backlight just makes another album and doesn't add the images to existing folder. For instance I have an already published folder called 'Coastline'.
When I make a publish folder with the same name on my 2nd computer, add images and publish then Backlight makes an album named 'Coastline-1'
I work on three computers at shop, home, travel so does anyone know how to do this. Many thanks Cliff

Had a very quick reply from Matt. 'The galleries page doesn't exist until you publish your first gallery' ... sorted

Has anyone had an error after hitting default Galleries link after installing Backlight? The Galleries page comes up with 'FORBIDDEN You do not have permission to access this document'
The other three default links are fine. This is driving me crazy and need to get over this hurdle.
