#1 Re: CE4 Client Response Gallery » gallery looks great in LR but like crap on the web... » 2015-06-05 01:17:31

This is pretty ridiculous. I am a photographer not a web developer. I had the CE2 system and it has worked great for years. I (mistakenly it seems) thought that the same developers of that system where everything is interchangeable (meaning my client response gallery is also the gallery that connects to my cart) and works well together would keep that same user friendliness and usability in their upgraded system. Things are suppose to get better and easier!

I have had nothing but trouble with the whole system since I purchased and I would be demanding my money back for false advertising if I could do it calmly and logically. Right now I am so frustrated with the whole thing that I need to just walk away or this will get ugly.

I don't think I am asking too much to have a system that was as easy to use and upload as the CE2 system. If I can't use LR to upload, then what is the point of have the system FOR LIGHTROOM. If they got it right before why is it so hard now? Why should I have to spend hundreds of dollard (and that is how much I am in now, a couple hundred dollars) for a system that I have to do everything manually and does not communicate with each other well?

BAH!

Hello, so I am new to CE4 and trying to figure out how to work everything. I have gotten one gallery to work but the second one I tried (and I have re-uploaded it several times and cleared both browsing history and cashe) looks like crap. Here is an image of my two desktops, one with what it looks like in LR and the other with what it looks like on the web.

#4 CE4 Cart » Can't find cart integration with CS4 client response gallery » 2015-06-04 02:26:00

I have been trying to test out the cart functionality for the new CS4 cart, but I am not finding where the cart integration to the CS4 client response gallery is located. I have looked through the forums and have seen it is suppose to be (as far as I can tell) in the output settings. I have combed through these however and all I can see is:
Image Renditions
Password Protection
Publisher Setup
Bredcrumbs styling
image downloads
status bar
share resources
and Legacy Browser Simulation

Am I looking in the wrong place? Have I done something wrong? I am sure I have but I can't figure out what. I have been up and down the whole setting menu 5 times a day for a week and searching the forums repeatedly and still have no idea how to do it! So frustrating!

#5 Re: CE4 Cart » Cart does not recognize own directory » 2015-05-23 08:57:17

I will double check it, but I upgraded the cart and gallery a month ago and in lightroom it shows the new cart took over for the old one.

Hey all, this is my first time having to post (you are all so good at answering questions I didn't even know to ask!). I am having a problem with the new CE4 cart. It goes through the check-out process but does not offer paypal checkout and does not send or save the order.

I created the cart and a gallery to go with it through LR and uploaded. I worked out the kinks before going live and all seemed to be going well, but the cart doesn't offer the Paypal checkout. I have gone into the cart diagnostics tool and it says that I have configured the cart to save to a directory but the "directory does not exist" even though the directory is there, created by LR, and verified by my GoDaddy hosting service to be there and fully writable. I have used the CE3 cart many times with no issue but this is the first CE4 cart I have created and I have no idea what to do. I only upgraded to CE4 (gallery and cart) last month.
