#2 Re: CE4 Auto Index » AutoIndex thumbnails's grid size » 2015-04-14 01:27:48

Thank you Rod, I appreciate your availability ;>)

I perfectly understand that what I complain of, is the default behavior of this plugin. It's a pity Matt didn't developed a try-version. I wouldn't have bought it probably had I had the opportunity to test it...
Now that I can't be refunded, I must find a "fix" as you say...
I think that JimR post (http://community.theturninggate.net/top … -like-ce3/ shows that there is some sort of a work around with custom css. I would be very happy to achieve a Galleries page of that sort. I enabled Phplugins but I'm totally inexperienced with php language. So I need precise instruction to try to alter the default behavior the way he did. Your reply to gosselin109 is unfortunately of no help to me.
I found the custon css (http://reekes.net/phplugins/css/custom.css)  and also the"scaffolding css" Matt referred to in the post (http://reekes.net/publisher/templates_a … ng.min.css)
But I'm unable to identify which part of them I should use... nor how to copy them in my text editor (I use Scite).
Have you some spare time to take me by the hand and teach me how to master this css alteration ?
Best regards.

Hi, I'm struggling as I mentioned in a different post with the size of my thumbnails in the grid of my galleries page... whatever the support I use monitor screen, Ipad, Smartphone...

1 -  How could I give those thumbnails a maximum size ? I don't want them to fill up the available space, I want them of a fixed size, separated by a fixed interval and displayed in 3 centered. columns..

Here is what I can achieve in LR :

lightroom-display.jpg

Here is what I would like to be able to design in LR and get on the web:

lightroom-expected-display

2 - How could I prevent my images to be truncated (by an abusive zoom)

like the two first thumbnails on this capture of my Ipad screen :

Ipad-sreen.png

The same happens if you look at my project on a wider screen. http://dominikskunca.fr/projet/galleries.php

(If it doesn't show as I say,  try refreshing the page because it depends on the size of the original image...)

3 - Finally how could it be possible to keep my thumbnails rectangular and avoid them becoming squares when displayed on a smartphone like this:

Thank you for your advise.

#4 Re: CE4 Publisher » Rendering of HTML (single.php) » 2015-04-05 01:08:24

Thank you Rod for your efforts...
You're right, there is one single.php file in the folder. I modified the htaccess file according to Ben recommandation but it changed nothing.
I'll ask the support of my provider about rewrite rights but I have to wait until tuesday. It's Easter bank holiday here ;>). I'll take some rest now, I need it.

Here is the address of the gallery built from Publisher: http://tinyurl.com/o37uplw
and here is the one I exported and then uploaded to my server : http://tinyurl.com/n9nfod3

I checked the htaccess file and it reads :

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^(.*)-single.*php$ single.php?id=$1 [L]
</IfModule>

There is no single.php files on the server

HI Rod, thanks a lot for that swift answer. I have read the topic you directed me to. In fact it can't be a .hotaccess problem. "single.php" file work when I upload galleries with my FTP client.
As I explained, they aren't rendered when I use the Publisher to upload new galleries using a "HTML" template...

As for the dummy text, Thanks for Color Palette information...

Hi every body,
I'm quite a newbe here... Need your help !
The Publisher works fine when I use a template with "Magnific Popup" option but it refuses to render the "single.php" files when using a template based on "HTML: single-image option"

If I export a collection on my desktop based on the HTML template and upload it on my server, it works but the "page copy" is filed with "ipsum factum" stuff... Where could I change this contain when exporting galleries this way ?

A lot of question, thanks for your care

I need then help to achieve that "step_down" and "if sentence" stuff... I've been carefully through Gaufde's post recommanded by rod barbe, but it doesn't help...
I'll open a new topic if I can't find one dealing with this sort of code writing...

Hi every body; This is one of the many issues I'm confronted to with TTG Gallery... From my point of view what JimR has achieved should be the default behavior of at least the Galleries and Gallery pages set up.
MATT, couldn't it be possible to rewrite this part of the program to achieve this behavior and meanwhile provide on request for those concerned the modified css that we could copy in the right place to save us a lot of trouble.
I know nothing about PHP but I can manage to "copy and paste" one or several files...;>)
