#1 Re: CE4 Publisher » Original file name accessible » 2015-02-05 04:38:59

Thanks,

I have sent an explanatory email to Ben along with the log.

#2 Re: CE4 Publisher » Original file name accessible » 2015-02-05 03:24:44

Followup: I had a brainstorm and thought it would be easy to just delete the old jpg's and related thumbnails from the folders on the internet server (/galleries/people/thumbnails etc.  I did that and the deleted thumbnails are still there, but the photos of course won't load and I get a message to that effect.  Clearing the internet cache and refreshing doesn't help.  Any thoughts as to how I can repair this plus my OP appreciated.

When I tried to update a gallery with Publisher, I got this message: "Can't update this collection. The rendition could not be created.  Please ensure that the original file name is accessible..."  The site is www.kencarney.com, and I am trying to replace some jpg's in the People gallery with better quality files.  When I click on the image in its collection folder in LR, the image name and location are correct.  But, when I click on the image in the folder for CE4 Publisher, there is no metadata or other image data.  This is only for the images I selected to be deleted.  First time this has happened, and any help appreciated!

#4 Re: CE4 Gallery » image titles not appearing » 2015-01-06 10:37:40

Yes, I had thought about that and changed the caption to a dark gray (background is white) but still I do not see the title?

I have a problem with image titles not appearing on the gallery page.  In the Image Info pane I have title linked to metadata title, same for caption.  I understand that Publisher does not see this,  so in Publisher Setup I have the same thing, title linked to metadata title.  I have one image where I have added a title and it is http://www.kencarney.com/galleries/plac … urch1.jpg.  The title was added to the title section of the image metadata, and is "St. Joseph's Mission Church, Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico".  I have republished the image, and deleted and published again, still no title appearing.  Any help appreciated!

#6 CE4 Stage » Stage images not appearing on home page » 2014-12-20 09:02:01

My stage slideshow is appearing on my galleries page, and nothing appears on my home page.  Also, when I publish an album I do not see it in the galleries page.  Here is what I have done:

I configured CE4 Pages, exported it to a folder on my desktop and copied the contents to the root of my site (www.kencarney.com).  I configured CE4 Stage, exported and copied the folder to /ttg-be/templates/gallery.  The Stage folder is named Stage_Gallery_Home_Page.

The Stage slideshow works fine, I can add or delete images with Publisher, but it is on the galleries page instead of the home page.  Then, when I publish an album I cannot see it in the galleries page.  I can see the images in /galleries/people/photos for instance, but they do not appear on the gallery page.

TTG CE4 Publisher is configured with the API URL as http://www.kencarney.com/ttg-be/publisher.  The Lightroom album for my home page shows the slug as pages-gallery.  Allow page replacement by CE4 Publisher is marked as yes. This all worked before I made a new CE4 Pages template and uploaded.  Any help is appreciated!

#7 CE4 Pages » Omitting navigation items » 2014-12-19 01:48:38

In the headings for Home, Galleries, Blog, Services etc. I would like to omit some of those.  For example, in Pages I unchecked "show on page" for Services, but Services still appears on the page (www.kencarney.com).  How can I omit those items?  Thx for your help.

Solved.  It helps if I put the http:// in my site name...

I had the site (www.kencarney.com) working, but had not saved the template for configuring CE4 Pages in the LR template browser.  So, I configured it again and uploaded it again.  Now, whenever I hit Home, Galleries, Info etc. I get 404 not found.  What did I do wrong?

#10 Re: CE4 Gallery » Link on image page shows 404 » 2014-12-16 09:43:27

That is Yahoo web hosting.  Not sure how helpful the permalink is, maybe just best to omit?

On the image pages for my galleries (www.kencarney.com), at the top I see what looks like two circles leaning to the left, connected by a link (as in a chain link).  Right clicking "inspect element" gives this:
<i class="fa fa-fw fa-link"></i>

Clicking on it gives me 404 not found, in all the galleries.  Does anyone know what this link is for and how to activate it?  Thx for any help.

#12 Re: CE4 Gallery » Not returning to gallery index » 2014-12-15 10:40:13

Looks like that may be it.  I will put a sticky note on my computer screen to check the file naming.

In my galleries, when I click on an image in the index page and view I can return to the index page by hitting escape or the "x" at the upper left hand of the image page.  Except for my "places" gallery, http://www.kencarney.com/galleries/places/.  I deleted the album in LR, made another one and re-published, same result.  Thx for any help.

Thx for all your help, Rod.  Looks like I've got it now.

I am trying to upload full images to the home page on www.kencarney.com.  In CE4 Pages, The Gallery, I have Home and Galleria Slideshow selected and allowing page replacement by publisher selected as yes.  But, I am stuck on how to upload the images to the home page.  I made an album in CE4 Publisher (pages-gallery) to upload via Publisher, but then thumbnails appear on the home page whereas I want the full-sized image.  If I can get past this I'm done, so any help appreciated!

I have two images that do not upload, shown as blank spaces in the gallery.  I re-imported the collection into the CE4 Publisher instance for this gallery and published again, same result.  The gallery is http://www.kencarney.com/galleries/skies/.  The Publisher instance for this gallery correctly shows 19 images, but only 17 uploaded.  First time this has happened and any help appreciated!

#17 Re: CE4 Publisher » Cannot log in to publisher » 2014-12-07 02:42:26

Misunderstanding on my part as to the web structure.  I was trying to install TTG in a sub-domain to see how it worked.  But to do that you have to create a new folder that Yahoo uses to build the sub-domain, so the TTG files are no longer in the root...Seems OK now.  Thx for your help.

#18 Re: CE4 Publisher » Cannot log in to publisher » 2014-12-06 07:49:06

Ben and Rod, thanks for your quick reply.  I've really been struggling with the TTG LR app.  Lexity appears to be a tracking script acquired by Yahoo (my web provider).
http://support.americommerce.com/hc/com … -it-or-not

Yahoo support says that I need to contact Lexity to disable it.

I have upgraded PHP to 5.3.6.  Now I get a login screen, but neither the default TTG user/password or the phpMyAdmin user/password work.  I try to log in at testsite.kencarney.com/tgg-be/admin, get the login screen, then 404 not found and the web login in the browser changes to   http://testsite.kencarney.com/RCIA2014/ … /?a=login.  RCIA2014 is a folder in Yahoo containing all the TTG material.  Yahoo uses the material in that folder for the website, testsite.kencarney.com.

Thanks again.  I think I'm close.

I am stuck on two points:

First, when I log into ttg-be\admin, I get a blank web page.  There is no input for user name or password.  The path is testsite.kencarney.com/ttg-be/admin/.   In the publisher plugin for LR, when authenticating I get the message "Unable to perform action: checkAuth. No response was returned".  This is true with whatever permissions level I select (777, 775, 755 etc.).

Secondly, I have uploaded my gallery to http://testsite.kencarney.com/ttg-be/te … 0gallery/.  Using that url, I can see it in my browser.  But, when I go to my site (testsite.kencarney.com) and hit "galleries" I get a blank page.

If I can get past this roadblock I think I have it.  Thanks for any help!

I am a new user, and so far so good except: I unzip ce4-ttg-be-202, and cannot upload the folder ttg-be.  I am using CuteFTP 9.0 to my site at Yahoo web hosting.  I can upload every other file, and the zip file, but not ttg-be.  I don't get an error message, just no response.  Any help appreciated!
