#1 Re: Backlight Support » Wordpress "more"-Tag » 2016-11-02 05:21:53

Hi Daniel.

Cool, thank you. Works fine!!

#2 Re: Backlight Support » Wordpress "more"-Tag » 2016-11-01 23:39:23

Hi Rod.

Ah, ok, thank you. I tried it and it works.

Nevertheless, I would prefer a mix of both, because I also like the line between the posts... :-)

Hi Rod.

Thanks for the link. But then I think I can not use the "featured image".

Isn't it possible that we can use the "more"-tag where we want to?

Hi.

I have a question. When I put the "more"-Tag in my posts they do not show up. If I leave them away there is the "[...]" tag, but I can not control at which position I want to have it in my text.

First why can't I use the tag coming with wordpress and second if I can not use it can I control the position of the "[...]" tag?

Hi.

BTW, why is there no search command on this forum?  Nearly impossible to see if someone else has already asked this question (and hopefully gotten an answer)...?

There is a search. It is in the nav-bar top of the page. Just click on it and you will see that you have a lot of options to search.

#6 Re: Backlight Support » Google Translate in navigation menu » 2016-06-29 07:57:52

Nevertheless many thanks that you tried it!!! Perhaps somebody will find a solution in the future. Would be a nice feature to have it in the nav-bar.  Best place to put it there. :-) But good to see that we don't want to give up. :-)

Just switch on the tray for that page and you will see that you can see it in the tray. That was what I meant. Sorry.

#8 Re: Backlight Support » Google Translate in navigation menu » 2016-06-29 07:29:55

I used the code from you in your post. Including phpplugin. But with that code it also shows up in the tray. Isn't that strange?

If you look on my page you see it in the tray. But with the code you gave me to put it in the custom.css and the phpplugin. No code in any tray presently.

#9 Re: Backlight Support » Google Translate in navigation menu » 2016-06-29 06:42:31

I used your code. I kept the tray on the right side. Now have a look. It is in the tray?!?!?!? Strange... That seems to be the reason why you don't see it on your page. There is no tray.

When I change the tray to the left side the translator is moving with it to the left side.

#10 Re: Backlight Support » Google Translate in navigation menu » 2016-06-29 05:19:12

Hi Rod.

Thank you for your help! It is strange.  Perhaps you can give it one more try with this new code here. This time it looks a bit different and the box is another one. Perhaps this box works in the nav-bar because it has a different layout from the first one.

<div id="google_translate_element"></div><script type="text/javascript">
function googleTranslateElementInit() {
  new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'de', includedLanguages: 'de,en,es,fr,sv', layout: google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.SIMPLE, autoDisplay: false, multilanguagePage: true}, 'google_translate_element');
}
</script><script type="text/javascript" src="//translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script>

#11 Re: Backlight Support » Google Translate in navigation menu » 2016-06-28 22:47:35

Thanks. So here the link:

http://meridian.dynalias.org:31005/fotogallerie/

I just put the google translator code, as posted above in the first post, into the "home"-page under "tray 1".

That would be a nice and easy way to translate all the pages. Because it also changes the language within all the galleries-windows and sets. Nobody has to think about different subdomains and additional galleries for every language.

Regards Kai

PS: Perhaps you can also put it in as an on/off-switch within the settings of backlight. So everybody can use it or not as the favicon for example.

#12 Re: Backlight Support » Google Translate in navigation menu » 2016-06-28 18:22:29

Hi.

Thanks for the info. I tried to get it work but I didn't. I am not used to phpplugins. Also just not much to CSS. I got the search-bar working on my page in the navigation bar as Graceson has it on his page. But I don't get the google translation code in that example that it will work. I have to wait until somebody with knowledge wants to put the google translator also in the nav bar. :-)

Hi.

Perhaps somebody can help me. I want to put the google translator into the nav menu. How can I do this?

This is the code I need to put in:

<div id="google_translate_element"></div><script type="text/javascript">
function googleTranslateElementInit() {
  new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'de', includedLanguages: 'de,en,es,fr,sv', autoDisplay: false, multilanguagePage: true}, 'google_translate_element');
}
</script><script type="text/javascript" src="//translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script>

I tried it in a tray. That works fine. But I don't want to use a tray.

Hi.

If I change the name of the site url in the backlight settings (for example from "/" to a domain name like https://www.mydoaim.com) is there anything else I have to do that everything is working?

Thanks a lot.

#16 Re: Backlight Support » Hiding Breadcrumbs only on mobile devices » 2016-05-11 05:15:19

Thanks Rod. Wouldn't it be possible to put it in the designer so we can decide by switch if we want it or not? Like the menu is working?

#18 Re: Backlight Support » No METADATA displayed » 2016-05-08 01:59:41

Ah, now I got it. Thank you so much Rod.

Some steps are easy and some hard with the new version.... :-)

#19 Re: Backlight Support » No METADATA displayed » 2016-05-08 00:39:35

Hm, still searching, which value do I have to change that I get displayed my selected metadata in the photoswipe large gallerie at the bottom?

#21 Re: Backlight Support » No METADATA displayed » 2016-05-07 21:32:07

The gallerie is working fine for me now with meta 1 and 2.

My problem still is that in the photoswipe large gallerie there are no metadatas. In CE4 there was metadata 01 above the picture and metadata 02 below when I right remember. Now I only see the filename at the bottom, that is all.

I now tried all but I can't display any METADATA below the Thumbnails or within the large image presentation.

I also just put in the word "Test" into all the fields of the METADATA section, enabled METADATA 01 and 02 in the thumbnail section, but there are still no METADATA on the thumbnail page or within the image presentation. Within the image presentation there is only displayed the image filename always.

Update: Ok, I now created a new Test-Album within Lightroom Publisher and loaded it up. There it is working.

And I just learned that you have to create the Thumbnails again from the old albums and then it is working too.

But I still can only display the filename within the large image presentation.

#23 Re: Backlight Support » Problem with German Text ü,ä .... » 2016-05-07 04:58:31

So that is quite funny. I put in just "Z.B. Ausflüge" and it worked like in your example.

Then I tried something else. I deleted a letter in the text that is in front of "Ausflüge". Then it is displayed correctly. I put in one more letter into the text in front of "Ausflüge" and it worked as well.

Try it by yourself please. Copy&paste this text: Hier findet ihr alles andere, was in die anderen Kategorien nicht passt. Z.B. Ausflüge, Feste und sonstige Events.

When you see the questionmarks remove a letter in front of "Ausflüge" or put one more in. Everything is fine. So it is funny because the letter "ä,ö,ü,ß" must be on a special position in the text that you get the questionmarks instead of the letter.

It is such a rare problem that it normaly is no time worth to look for but nevertheless I am curious what it can be.

#24 Re: Backlight Support » Problem with German Text ü,ä .... » 2016-05-06 22:58:45

Hm, that is strange.

In Lightroom Publisher I go to the settings of the album set where I change it. After that I load it up.

Later I will start my PC with Lightroom and try further where the error could be. Or can you enter the whole text like in my first screenshot and see if the error comes?

That is the cool thing now, you can just use the ipad to change settings of the homepage and don't need Lightroom for that.......

I send you a screenshot in a second where I changed it that it works.

#25 Re: Backlight Support » Wrong Gallery display on IPAD » 2016-05-06 22:33:36

I checked it on the Samsung Galaxy S5, there it is working fine.

IPad 2 with an quite old IOS also display problem.

On a Lenovo Android Tablet also working fine. Seems an Ipad/ Iphone only problem...
