Matthew confirmed this a bug in the  CE4 software and will potentially be addressed in next update

#3 CE4 Pages » Nav Item Has Unwanted Dotted Outline when Ext. Site Target "Clicked" » 2016-02-23 23:50:20

One nav item on a CE4 Pages site is targeted to another site with the “open in new window” selected. After exporting to WAMP to preview this was the behavior. After double clicking the nav menu item…the external site did open in another window…but on return to main site the nav item has a dotted border outline. I don’t want this to appear as such. Is this a bug? Any help appreciated. Thanks

#4 CE4 Pages » Nav Item "Hover Underline" Bug?? CE4 Pages » 2016-02-23 08:39:41

In Site Info/Nav Items...choosing the "text decoration: hover - underline" has no effect in the LR preview and in WAMP site preview...that is the nav item has NO underline.  If on the other hand I choose the "text decoration - underline" this does in fact show the underline in the LR preview. Matt or others, please check to see if this is a bug asap. Thanks.

#6 CE4 Pages » Can You Center The Contact Form? - CE4 Pages » 2016-02-18 06:52:25

I would "potentially" like to use the contact from only on the Contact page without any image or text. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to center this horizontally on the page via the LR interface. If anyone has some experience having done this or knows whether this can be done - please rsvp. If this is going to be via custom css - then it would be helpful to know the exact process/details etc.etc. I know only the most basic aspects of web code/css - bear that in mind. Thanks.

#8 General » Web Font .woff2 file - How to Correctly Implement this in CSS? Urgent » 2016-02-06 03:59:46

I may use a web font for Nav items in CE4 Pages - and one of the files included is .woff2 (in addition to a .woff) which isn't shown in the amended CSS for @font-face following. I assume the.woff2 is a useful option - so how would the CSS example below be correctly/accurately amended to use the .woff2 file? As well, how does one go about making the changes so that only the Nav items are affected? I know very little about CSS/coding/web...just basics. I'm trying to get this site up and running quickly. Thanks for help

@font-face {
  font-family: 'MyWebFont';
  src: url('/phplugins/fonts/webfont.eot'); /* IE9 Compat Modes */
  src: url('/phplugins/fonts/webfont.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'), /* IE6-IE8 */
       url('/phplugins/fonts/webfont.woff') format('woff'), /* Modern Browsers */
       url('/phplugins/fonts/webfont.ttf')  format('truetype'), /* Safari, Android, iOS */
       url('/phplugins/fonts/webfont.svg#svgFontName') format('svg'); /* Legacy iOS */

Is there a way you can go from one topic to the next in a Wiki...say with a keystroke...without having to go back to the table of contents each time?

#10 General » Blog Set Up - .htacess file "write permissions" question » 2013-10-05 07:20:42

The directions given for completing Wordpress setup include the following..." set write permissions to CHMOD 755. This is most often achieved within your FTP client by right-clicking the .htaccess file and choosing "Get Info"." I right clicked the file and got file permissions option, and within... a slot for "numeric values".  When I first entered "CHMOD 755" as per directions...when I reopened file permissions to double check...it would show numeric values as 644?!?...then after a few more times entering CHMOD 755 now it saves as just...755. What is the significance of the CHMOD? Is it necessary?

Ok. I checked WAMPserver...and there are options for me/64 bit...either PHP 5.3, or 5.4. Does it matter which one? On another related note about PHP... I'm currently running PHP 5.3.27 through my web server...which looks to be fine for use with CE3 according this note in the docs...

PHP 5.2.6 or newer

.  Can you confirm that?

#12 Re: General » Need help on migrating from early TTG version - to CE3 » 2013-09-26 01:21:18

I only looked at the WAMP site briefly...is the "test" folder route or the WAMP route both the same in terms of work/setup? Is one easier that the other? Let me know your thoughts on this...easier...less complicated is better for me. I don't have any experience doing these sorts of things  -  or the work flows...other than when I set up my site several years back.

So is the

test folder

just a folder I add to my Public HTML folder...and just put all the new site's contents in? I don't know what

sub-domain

means in this instance. I understand what the domain is...but what sub-domain is and how it relates to testing or how it is created or utilized...don't know about this  either.

M - couple of things, don't know what a "test location online" means exactly. Also, I saw the "Galleria Slideshow" examples once on the link above, but now it's not viewable... btw...could you check that I would like to see it again if possible. I looked at the Galleria site just now...but they have several..."official" themes... (ALSO, I have very limited knowledge about website building "technical" terms and phrases...and the component elements that going to producing them now. I know how to use Dreameaver to "fix" things on my site...but no experience with coding generally...)

#15 Re: General » Need help on migrating from early TTG version - to CE3 » 2013-09-25 07:53:46

Question about previewing what you are working on...besides the "in-Lightroom" preview.  I saw this in some of the documentation just now...

TTG CE3 Pages exports pages as PHP documents, which require being run on a local or web-based server. You cannot view pages using Lightroom's “Preview In Browser” feature, nor can you run pages in your browser from your desktop.

I would typically use "preview in browser" frequently in past...what are the options?

Rod and Matthew...thanks for responses...appreciate it much. Yes and with you... I do like the Galleria as an option...very nice. And Matt, very very happy with TTG even in my old/ancient interation...and wanted to....but just haven't found time to upgrade. /Brandt

I am considering using CE3 versions of TTG for my site. I would like to get some feedback from those who have longstanding experience using all the iterations. Note:  I've given the CE3 various plugins some time for review via site...but in general time crunch because of traveling and can't nail down every detail or question. So, info. I'm interested in as follows...

1.  Using CE3 Pages (etc.) ...can I get the same graphic layout...color, text, spacing etc. etc. - as in my original (site follows)
2. I understand basically the newer CE3 Gallery could not reproduce the "individual galleries" with the earlier "thumbnail" strip as I have presently...which I like generally.  From what I saw, this could be reproduced "approximately" with CE3 Stage...is that so?
3. Could CE3 or some component of it reproduce the present Gallery page  - or approximation of it?

Any/all help would be greatly appreciated. /Brandt
